Yeah...unless it's a MODIFIED protocol droid...my very first PbP game had a guy running a heavily modified protocol droid; it had a modified blaster arm put on in place of one of its regular arms, as its creation had been commissioned by some rich public figure or other. The funny thing is that a certain key phrase triggered a subroutine that made the droid switch to a secondary personality set that allowed it to utilize the arm against civilians; it was a completely separate personality, and when the key phrase was given that changed it back to its primary protocol droid persona, it had no memory of having done anything in the secondary personality. Made for some fun and INTERESTING roleplay!

Basically you described the droid from the MedStar Duology ... I-Five

That droid went on to be in the Coruscant Nights books as well. I-Five was different, however, because he simply had a laser in his index finger; ours had a completely modified arm.

But nice comparison!

Well - They release Episode 7 next year... and then I believe it is to be the Fett movie after that......

Greystar: Yeah....it's gonna be interesting to see what they do from here......all I'm hoping for is less CGI stuff and maybe some better actors.....I think Natalie Portman occasionally shows some talent; but I thought she was a stiff board for the pre-quells and don't even get me started on Hayden! (My apologies if anybody out there really liked them.....it's a free country and everyone is entitled to their own opinion; I just didn't particularly care for them in these movies!
