One Short Of A Baker's Dozen
Coming Back To Kill
Early Afternoon, Warm Clear
Outside
Keeping one eye on the red robed Priest above her, Renna moves along the ledge with the spiritual hammer following directly behind her. She passes Ithrandir as he fires arrows towards the Skeletons attacking Stobart on the ledge below. She watches as the Priest slinks down the upper ledge to the area below it, making for the cave mouth where Pimlan and Loyn were abandoned.
Stobart fights for his life all alone on the lower ledge, smacking at one Skeleton with his staff while the others pummel him relentlessly with their boney fists, trying to bring him down next. He is hit twice, but manages to remain upright for the time being. 5 dam
Bugs gets little satisfaction from the bully bears who just snort at his measly offer of 7 gold pieces. "That not enough puny one."
Actions?
square = unconscious
Inside
The greenish cloud of necromancer continues to slink along the ceiling back towards the hallway and the stairs up.
Keya stabs the Mummy Cat again and again, slowly chipping away at the undead abomination while it bites and claws at him viciously. Crobeus sees Magdal standing there paralyzed with fear, so he stabs at the mummified house cat as well, doing absolutely no damage to it with his mundane weapon. Gyb rushes over to swipe at the thing with his torch but misses the mark.
Daliedhur kneels down to check on the condition of their fallen guide Tammuz, who no longer appears to be breathing. The slight grin on his death mask face tells the elf that he died doing what he loved best, just a little sooner than he would have wanted. A still bubbling vat in the corner of the room starts to let off steamy bubbles that reek horribly when they pop in the air.

@OGRE MAGE - anything I could take as a memento to Tammuz? Like a necklace or bracelet or something?
In Gnoll:
Knowing he is unable to damage the mummy cat, he quickly invokes his magic powers to search for any magical treasure in the room, and hastily grabbing anything he can find which might seem valuable.
Using Detect Magic
Just before urging his companions - "Throw that monstrosity inside, and we close the door!"
Plan: cast Detect Magic > survey the room and grab any valuables > head out and suggest the tactic to the others.

Re: Third Trip's The Charm
For some reason I thought Renna dropped the unconscious Pim off with Loyn, but I seem to have made that up in my own head, as I see it never happened in action. I will fix that on the new map.
One Short Of A Baker's Dozen
Just Like We Planned It
Early Afternoon, Warm Clear
Outside
The Bugbears seem more confused by Bugs than anything else, so they decide to follow the strange Gnome regardless of his weak bartering skills, likely hoping to see what the little spitfire will actually do next. They rush towards Stobart as he fights for his life a good distance away, getting in range for an oncoming charge attack on the Skeletons.
Stobart smacks the same Skeleton again while the others pummel the priest relentlessly. Though it doesn't drop immediately, Ithrandir fires an arrow into it from a distance, permanently knocking it from the fight. The Elf cringes in horror when he sees that Stobart is also knocked to the ground in turn, dropping hard next to Meinhardt, who he was trying to protect in the first place. Both Bugs and Ithrandir notice that the Skeletons don't actually kill them, instead picking them up to be carried off towards the next cave again.
Renna jockeys about a bit before sending a dart of magical energy into the distant Red Priest, causing two reactions. First, the visage of the hammer trying to hit her suddenly vanishes, while her dart hits the distant Priest unerringly, causing him to hustle along the ridge and enter the cave mouth behind Ithrandir. The same cave where the unconscious Loyn lays all alone.
Actions?
square = unconscious
Inside
The greenish cloud of necromancer disappears into the darkness of the nearby hallway heading towards his quarters.
Daliedhur grieves for their fallen guide Tammuz, snapping a claw necklace from around the Flinds neck before telling the others to toss the undead cat inside this very room as he starts to cast a spell that should locate any magical auras nearby. (Just as a reminder, it takes a full round to prepare and cast a spell in 1E.)
Gyb smacks the Mummy Cat perfectly with his torch, though it doesn't seem to do much to injure the little horror. Those unaffected by the things repulsiveness are able to wrangle the thing long enough for Keya to shove it into the room while Crobeus stands there ready to salam the portal shut behind it, despite Daliedhur still being inside. It flies past his head towards the back of the room, leaving him a moment to either leave as well, or stay and finish his detections.
Magdal finally snaps out of her fit of being frozen with fear, suddenly able to help the others again in hopes of at least some of them still escaping with their lives.

It Never Fails
Early Afternoon, Warm Clear
Outside
While Bugs has no real input into the fight himself, the pair of Bugbears he brought along with him put their huge clubs to great use against these boney adversaries. 2 of them are knocked apart from heavy blows while the rest of the group work on the one trying to carry off Stobart.
Renna hits the remaining Skeleton with her final magic dart while Ithrandir continues to send arrows into the melee.
Unfortunately, as usually happens, one of the errant arrows does indeed find a target, just not the one he was aiming for. When one of the Bugbears gest pierced in its hairy ass, it quickly changes its mind about helping the Gnome in the first place. He grabs Bugs by his head and lifts him up to his face, shouting a spry of angry and smelly spittle at the Gnome. "HEY! WHAT THIS? YOU TRY KILL US TOO?" Bugs feels the brute squeezing his little head harder and harder, his eyes seemingly about to pop from their sockets.
The final Skeleton foolishly drops Stobart to defend itself against the other Bugbear, causing the larger monster a minor wound in the skirmish.

Once Daliedhur exits the macabre room, the door is slammed shut, allowing those out in the hallway a moment to breathe freely again. Gyb immediately sprints back towards the exit, leaving the others in his dust due to his impressive speed. When he arrives at the corner where he can see light through the cave exit, he spots a man in red robes kneeling beside the fallen body of Loyn. He cant tell what the man is doing from this distance, but it doesn't look good.
Keya, Magdal, and Crobeus quickly head for the exit as well, but they notice something strange in the main hallway as they pass by the wider side passage. The young girl Arpad is standing there, all dressed in her odd looking black attire. She asks a question as the trio passes, hoping to get a response before she is left behind. "Were you able to free my friends in there too?"
Suddenly all alone outside the horrible laboratory, Daliedhur sees the others flee. Just before he is about to follow, he takes one more quick look around the area, spotting what appears to be a poorly concealed door in one wall that none of them noticed in all the excitement. Then he hears loud scratching coming from beyond the door where the undead cat was trapped.

Even more curious than Cinder, and in spite of his dire wounds, Daliedhur does not resist taking a look at the door, his feline companion close on his heels - if he finds no traps and hears no sounds, he will try to open it, sword firmly in hand.
