OOC 2 - Chat It Up!
Re: OOC 2 - Chat It Up!
I am always good with more info. My Realms knowledge comes from long ago and ended a little earlier than the switch to 3e.

Everything looks good from a setup perspective.hedgeknight wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 9:30 pm I went into the UCP and usergroup and added him. Do I need to do something else so he can post, Dave?
I take it he's having issues?

If you're having issues, I would suggest logging out and logging back in again.
If you're still having issues...
hedge
I suppose you could remove him from the group and re-add him.
If neither of the above work, let me know.

Welcome Aboard Computer +1
I have run one long game in FR (30ish years ago), but there is lots I do not know or forgot and would be happy read any background you suggest.

Re: OOC 2 - Chat It Up!
I read a few FR novels a while back (Icewind Dale trilogy and the one after, and some others, I forget) and did a bit of gaming either side of the 1e/2e transition.
So my knowledge is a little hazy and out of date.

Re: OOC 2 - Chat It Up!
Big THANKS to shaidar for suggesting I check in my other FR usergroup. Weird how it works sometimes.
I will wait for C+1 to post his character and then move the group forward.

No probs
It sounds like access to this forum is coming from the 'Forgotten Realms: Adventures in the North (1e)' usergroup rather than the 'Hedge's Forgotten Realms Adventures (2e)' group.
(dmw71 will know what I'm talking about)
But at least C+1 has access

I am finishing up all the details and rolls.
I somehow managed to roll for 2 potions of growth.
Imagine a giant 48 foot tall dwarf using Chant on a battlefield to deafen the enemy while providing the party with bonus attacks.

Schools here were closed yesterday due to the cold here — it’s bitter — but, surprisingly, we’ve had had less snow here than they’ve had in Florida.GreyWolfVT wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 9:17 pm Up north we are freezing our butts off. it was -9 here earlier today.

Re: OOC 2 - Chat It Up!
As Ed said it is cold here, sub-zero with wind chills running around -30 to -40. Been getting an inch or 2 of powder every night it seems so we have some snow, enough for the snow mobiles to run the trail by my house. But no single storm like the south just got. The 10 day forecast at my house doesn't have a high above the mid 20's so looks like we will be keeping what snow we have.dmw71 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 9:48 pmSchools here were closed yesterday due to the cold here — it’s bitter — but, surprisingly, we’ve had had less snow here than they’ve had in Florida.GreyWolfVT wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 9:17 pm Up north we are freezing our butts off. it was -9 here earlier today.![]()

Re: OOC 2 - Chat It Up!
It's cold here (for us) this morning, around 18 when I got up. Roads are iced over. Not planning to get out today...unless I absolutely have to.
