Fahima
Fahima closes her eyes and starts stabbing away until it doesn't move any more.
"Is it dead?"

Re: The Tomb of the Lizard King
"You sure killed the hell out of it," Lt. Dan says, walking over.
Roan assists the wounded man, who promptly looks at the group, and asks, "Why are...who are you? Why have you come?"
Then the wounded man sees Gormundel. The two lock eyes. And the wounded man grows visibly angry. "YOU! If I can get up, you will be the next sacrifice!"

Re: The Tomb of the Lizard King
The wounded man looks at Roan as if he can't wrap his head around the Dwarf's words. "You...you brought this thing? Who sent you here to do this to us? Gorm...what the hell is going on?"
Gormundel shakes his head. "Would that I knew exactly, Mordrin. It's time to put an end to things...or die trying. I'm old and I want to be free of this place, one way or another."
The man, Mordrin, blinks a few times, his mouth working to form words; he is dumbstruck.
"How...how could you betray your King?"
"Help me with this big bastard, will ya?" Lt. Dan calls out as he grabs the dead basilisk by the tail and attempts to drag it out of the doorway. Sai helps and maybe so do a couple of others (?), and with a lot of tugging and pulling and some cursing, the companions are able to move the basilisk enough to get by and see down the hall beyond the hole in the wall.
"Looks like we have some corridors in there. Maybe we should check it out, eh?" Lt. Dan asks his friends.
Meanwhile, Fahima and Zan are checking the room, and this time it is Zan who finds something unusual about the eastern most wall. He's sure there is a secret door in the wall.

Roan tries to explain but shrugs and goes to help Lt. Dan. "Er eh, well long story short. Some rich a-hole hired us ta bring a gift ere ta the undead lizard fella. But we didna know what this gift was." on his way to Dan "I'll give ya a hand Dan."

Re: The Tomb of the Lizard King
Alright guys, it's been 4 days...
Fahima finds no traps or locks on the door and it opens easily to reveal a 30' hallway running south. Zan follows her through, along with the young lizard man, to another door which is slightly ajar. Sai brings up the rear, bow ready.
This horribly dark, round chamber contains a hideous sight: four coffins with their lids barely cracked open are arranged in an even pattern around a fifth coffin in the center of the room. The entire area gives off a charnel stench, and the furnishings of the room are rotten and tattered.
Meanwhile, out in the other chamber, Roan attempts to explain what happened with the basilisk to Mordrin, but the man isn't buying it.
"Say what you will, the truth shall be revealed when you face the King!"
Cassius is strangely quiet. Gormundel is too.

She will return to the other room to tell them what they found.

Sai
Looks on as the others back away from the Coffins.
If the lizard King is a Vampire this could be his coffin. If we drive a stake through the coffin and place a vial of Holy Water in it we might be able to kill him if he reverts to his coffin. I am going by what I have read about Undead but have no real life experience with this. Or we could just leave and try to find him else where.
He then backs out as well.

Cassius
He blinks the groggyness away. "Coffins you say? I'm with Sai, maybe we stake them all now. Or burn it. Gormundel! What is this place?"
Cassius shakes his head at Mordrin. "Fine. Where is the king?"
As the group decides to leave the coffin room, he goes with them. "Ok. Which door is next? Follow any blood trails?"
He will go with the group, bow out and ready.

Roan will go to where Sai is unsure of what to think of the coffins. "I just wonder if any of tha tales of how ta put a vamp is at all accurate."

Re: The Tomb of the Lizard King
So...are you going to investigate and "stake" whatever you find in the coffins, or retrace your steps and proceed through the door where the basilisk was stuck? I need a clear path before moving forward.

Re: The Tomb of the Lizard King
I was hoping Gormundel or Mordrin would, perhaps unintentionally, give us insight as to what we are seeing.
If nobody has the appetite for coffin desecration, Cassius won't do it alone. But his initial thought is to investigate and perhaps burn them.
Thoughts?

Re: The Tomb of the Lizard King
I was a bit lost but was just trying to figure out what options we have i still doubt our odds in trying to kill the undead lizardman.
