Sigrun is left holding an box with 858 Cr100 credit rectangles, and if she checked them for number and authenticity as Sample was checking the containers, they are just as they seem...they are 100 credit chips and there are 858 of them.

Sigrún unlatches the box and checks the credits. Once the merchant and goods are away she then states "Well, we have sold our first loot and should react like a Sword World crew". She issues everyone a short stack of 100Cr chips "For food, ale and entertainment ashore. We will feast once our factor Donovan has conducted all our scheduled business today". She then secures the bulk of the cash in the armoury.

Donovan waves Zaki over and approaches Sigrun. "Between the two of us we have the other local businessmen that we need located. In about half an hour or so a gentleman is coming over from a company that can provide a new transponder and other modifications. I might be able to sell what is left of the body armor, the hull plates, the low berths and probably the turret. However there is another broker that most certainly has connections with the Reavers in the system. I would like you to meet with the first one in a little bit and then the second one when I can arrange a meeting. This will be a chance to show our flag so to speak."

Sigrún nods agreement and then states levelly "We steer a difficult course. We are pretending to be Sword World raiders to disguise both this ship and the current crew. However, if we put ourselves among real pirates or those who frequently deal with them then there is also a chance things might get... difficult".

Leaning on a packing crate yet still managing to look dangerous she casually hooks both hands over the top of the ballistic breast plate the engineers fashioned from the salvaged psi infused metal recovered from Pequan.

Donovan sees that the heraldry she painstakingly marked out over days on the plate carrier's front is now hidden under a plain urban camo cover. He recalls a stylized female face vertically divided into white and black halves. No doubt something significant to an Aesirist but then there's never one about when you want one - which in turn kicks off the debate of when would you really ever want one...

We also might be able to sell that to a gent that does gray market modifications that is due to come by in about 30 to 40 minutes. I'm going to steer clear of any direct contact with our ethically challenged friends. We also still need to replenish ships supplies and I want to look at speculative cargo. We might find something on the gray market that will be profitable."

However, this place is full of many peoples - including thieving Imperials! So, we should close the ship and maybe post a duty crew member if not a bridge watch while in port".

"That's a "Já" then. We are a Sword World crew so we will be seen out carousing tonight. I'll ask Bob and Doug to cover the ship and give them their "run ashore" tomorrow night. Bob has been ill so that might suit him. I'm not an engineer but I guess that the work we want doing will run into a few days".

"It says there is refined and refined fuel available. Which do we want?"

"Buy unrefined fuel and have it aboard as soon as you can. We'll run it through our own purifiers so it will be ready before or re-fit's complete".

"That may only be because there was nowhere for you to run," Zaki says with a grin.

Zaki may have thought she was out of reach but the recurved hook of Wolf's Wounds snags the grab handle on the back of her ship suit and she finds herself drawn backwards to hear Sigrún growl in her ear. "You accuse me. Not only of thieving but of being without the courage to face those I steal from. If you were a warrior I would demand the ship's company make the square now and dedicate your suffering to the Lady of Death before I made a crow's feast of you for your insult! I... would... take... my... time..." This close Zaki can hear the deep inhalation that must catch her scent. "But you are not a warrior... and so you will reap what you sow in a different arena".

With a low growl Zaki is rather firmly propelled back towards her duties as Sigrún gutturally orders "Let's square the cargo deck away! We have another factor due to visit and he's a Sword Worlder. Have some ale ready to offer him".

Zaki takes a step to recover her balance, and then she whirls in place and steps up to Sigrun. "We need to talk. My quarters. Now, please." Her voice is conversational, almost pleasant, and her face is devoid of emotion. Her eyes tell an entirely different story, fixing Sigrun like violet laser emitters.
