I'm good with that. I haven't picked a homeworld for Garvin but one of the border naval base worlds (say Mille Falcs or maybe Mertactor - which is really nice) would mean he's not wandered too far. However, since the grand larceny was in transit he was likely stowed away somewhere in a cargo hold so the long travel is inferred. Great, Akar was running a con with a cage fighter, pumping him up and getting bigger and trying to get a big shot.
He had a agreement with the fighter to throw a fight and he would split the profit with him.
