Torbath

Torbath shakes his head, smiles and "Yep, you are right" and takes the Silver Tork and +2 INT Ioun Stone. (recorded on sheet)

He will then start to divide the coin and gems that the party received in the deal.

Theo wonders what the looks the gnome brothers gave each other meant. He's rather surprised at the favorable terms arrived at. He hopes there isn't more than meets the eye involved with those two. But sincerely says,Maag, I hadn't taken you for a skilled bargainer.
Thank you.

The ranger with a stone orbiting his head makes no claim on the remaining stone or other magical items. I'm sorry, I was hasty at claiming the chainmail. Please consider it part of the treasure to be divided.

Alordan is happy that everyone is happy and that there shouldn't be any unplanned fighting and mayhem as a result.

Feanol

Feanol will approach Torbath What does your stone do? I believe mine affects my strength. If yours affected something more useful to me I might be willing to swap with you.

Maag

Maag picks up the Brass Horn and the remaining stone.

"Yeah, well," he says gruffly. "I 'ave bin in enough gangs to know dat splittin' der loot is usually worse dan pullin' off der job. If someone is not 'appy, next fing yer know people are rattin' yer out to der town guard, an' bodies start turnin' up in trash 'eaps or floatin' down der river".

The Ethereal Job
This One’s For Andy
The Dark Rock

Mags new gem immediately begins to orbit his head after being tossed into the air. He instantly feels much better about life in general, more experienced, just…….better.

The gnomes suddenly become quiet, keeping to themselves now and basically ignoring the party who not only helped them find this place, but also helped them survive the ordeal.

Theo watches the pair with even greater suspicions. In the back of the homely rangers mind, the question constantly lingers……how would their missing team leader have handled this situation?

Actions?

If everyone is content with how this has played out, and there are no new item experiments planned, I am happy to advance the action.
The total treasure haul ends up looking like this:
Approximately 14,000gp in gold or platinum coins, gems, jewelry, and trinkets.
*A locked platinum coffer with the initials GWT etched into the lid: Coffer of Holding filled w/ coins and gems
*A beautiful looking Longsword. +3
*An equally beautiful looking set of Chainmail.
*A very fine shield.
*A wooden Staff.
*A Brass Horn.
*A Silver Tork.
*A velvet bag containing a few oddly shaped colored stones. Ioun Stones
*One Ring: pure gold with 3 indentations where small gems might have once been set. One tiny diamond remains in a final fourth setting. Wish?

* = checked out as magical

Alordan AC3 4/22
Torbath (M3) AC8 2/18 RM, CL, DM, 1st 1/2 2nd 0/1 (top of backpack/inside helmet) Comet AC:7 4/4
Feanol (MU3) AC:10 3/14 RM, CL, DM 0/4 1st 0/2 2nd

These are some of the hints I dropped in the last several updates. :D
OGRE MAGE wrote: Thu May 09, 2024 1:13 pm Torbath is infatuated with the magic ring that has the single diamond remaining, as if this might be the most important item they’ve found so far.
OGRE MAGE wrote: Thu May 16, 2024 4:15 pm Grimble literally gasps after he looks over the ring with the single diamond and three missing stones again. He takes out his trusty wand and taps the ring lightly, nodding his head through the entire process.

"THIS! This is the prize of the whole find! Do you have any idea what you could do with this ring?" (obviously not, or I wouldn't have to do this)
I thought someone might iron out this idea.
jemmus wrote: Fri May 17, 2024 4:22 pm Theo
""Wish?" It's a ring of wishes, with one wish still remaining? We should use it to get back to the tavern, with all of this stuff.
But that didn't happen.
OGRE MAGE wrote: Wed May 22, 2024 3:52 pm Grimble furrows his brow. "We already have a means to get back to the tavern, in a few days time. I'm not wasting something as powerful as a Wish on a damn free ride."
So I kept trying.....

Where's Andron?
The Dark Rock

Torbath takes over the failing negotiations, apparently willing to give Grimble the item he coveted most, despite how it could clearly benefit the group.
OGRE MAGE wrote: Thu May 30, 2024 1:56 pm With one important comrade's whereabouts unknown.....
OGRE MAGE wrote: Fri May 31, 2024 4:14 pm The gnomes smile at Feanol before looking at each other in silence, nodding their heads and winking often, as if engaged in some secret unknown communications. Eventually they take up the negotiations with the group again.

You'll Get Nothing And Like It
The Dark Rock

The gnomes eventually look at each other and nod, finally certain their guise was convincing.

And finally

If everyone is content with how this has played out...
So........I feel like there isn't much else I can do about this situation but this.

Oh well, at least Q can play again.

As Maag tries to comprehend his new feelings of sudden professional advancement, he notices Grimble and Grumble whispering to each other. Grumble suddenly nods emphatically while Grimble speaks succinctly to his new ring, causing something very strange to instantly occur.

 D'oh!

Well, I feel like an eejit for not reading the titles.

The thing that made me switch off was the dismissal of using the Wish to get back. I thought it was a good idea. Pointing out we could get back anyway without it made me think "Yeah, it's a waste really". I mean, Wishes are meant for serious stuff like escaping TPKs, right?

I must have missed something :). I thought also we were hunkering down for 4 days to then travel back. I would also have thought we would save the wish for a different purpose. With that being said - Onward!

The gnomes had a different idea. After searching for so long, they were apparently not willing to settle for a mere fraction of the vault's wealth ...

For those who are still confused, the gnomes screwed you over with the Wish that I was hoping one of you would have thought to use to get TWO party members and ALL of the treasure back.

I understand that some were busy thinking about the treasure, but were none of you concerned for the folks you lost?
