Kainaxarthos
Kain watches as the others spread out, but doesn't fail to notice that nobody moves towards the secret door as Drest suggests.
"Ah. Short straw, ok, let's do this." He moves to the secret door outline and draws his morning star. "Ready."

Xenos moves to join Kain at the secret door, standing on the opposite side to him.

Akhilleus "Hairless humans with elongated heads? I hope I won't ever have to meet one of those. I prefer the snake men."
Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
I tend to geek out about the Hyperborea setting (and its unwritten possibilities), and this PC gives me more of an outlet than the last two did. If Magda's chatter confuses some of her companions along the way, well... "witchcraft" is made up of at least a little bit of BS.

I believe Ceana may be near there too.

Island Under The Zakath Desert
Feeling Huge
No Idea On Time Or Day
Pressing the eye button into the wall reveals a small sliding door in the floor directly below it. Inside this secret hollow cavity sits an impressive purple stone, a brilliant oriental amethyst of considerable value.
Drest pushes on the door outline in the mural, surprised to find that a narrow portion of the wall rotates to reveal a long, dark passage 8 feet high but only 3 feet wide. The unlit hall disappears into darkness beyond the limit of your torchlight.

Kainaxarthos
He peers into the long dark narrow passage, then turns and goes to examine the newly revealed gem. "The gem is more my speed than a constricted, surely trap-filled corridor. Let me take a look at it."
Kain moves to appraise the gem visually. "Can you see if any traps are restraining the gem?" He calls Drest over to look before he goes into the corridor.

"It seems to me that this gem is safer to pick up than the previous one. Just because it's not as obvious..." The warrior looks at the newly opened hallway. "I'm very curious to see where that place leads, but I'm not stepping foot in that hallway until someone with a keen eye has examined it..."

"Well done Drest. This type of environment surely keeps you busy, what with all the hidden door finding and trap spotting. I'd prefer if you aren't careless in your explorations in the vanguard of our little group. It seems we need you around."

Ceana
The druid winces when the door is pushed open, expecting some type of trap or something. When nothing occurs, she peers into the hallway wondering where it leads. Taking a copper piece, she tosses it inside, hoping to roll it down the dark hallway for bit.

Drest
Drest will check the gem area for traps before picking it up.

Magda
The Ixian abandons her prepared incantation and smacks her lips softly, as she crowds in a few feet behind Drest. "Ohh, do you think that's the gem? We never got a description of its colour..."

"My Skavi will be careful too, and isn't nearly as big as that lump of a fellow." Madga sends the black rat to the secret opening, but first waits to hear Ceana's coin clink in the corridor without mishap.The_Wanderer wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 1:34 pm"Well done Drest. Ceana’s tossed coin jingles along the stone floor of the cramped hallway, ceasing eventually in the darkness without incident.
Drest examines the newfound gem, determining it should fetch a handsome price from the merchants if they ever find their way back to civilization again.
The long, dark hallway remains as silent as a grave.

Belloc
from a distance takes a peek down the corridor
everything looks like a death trap....
and murmurs to himself some words of encouragement
"Courage is the gateway to opportunity."
thought nervous he looks eager to continue and looks around his companions to line up behind anyone getting ready to ender or take the first step himself

Skavi the rat scampers down the narrow corridor, keeping pace just behind Drest.
"We might be the first people in here in centuries," Magda remarks softly as she falls into single-file behind the warriors and Ceana, but happy to go ahead of Belloc and any other timid sorcerers.
