Re: OOC Out of Character Chat
The gun is "stunny" and can only be used by Vinvocci due to the tinkering on it.
Further about that image:
Buck Rogers XZ-38 Disintegrator Pistol
The toy is a Buck Rogers XZ-38 Disintegrator Pistol, dating back to the 1940's. The image ties into the band name itself – 'foo fighters' was a name given to glowing fireballs reported by WWII pilots, which some believed came from UFOs. The photo was taken by Jennifer Youngblood, Dave Grohl's wife at the time

Bingkit's Sonic Stun Pistol: range (5/10/20/40), ammo: unlimited, damage (stun only), recoil (n/a).
Bingkit's stunner has been engineered to work only for someone possessing Vinvocci DNA, appearing as a worthless Earth toy to anyone else. It fires 1 shot per round, but can target either 1 individual or a group gathered within a 5' radius of a center point. This Minor Gadget costs 1 Story Point (which is stored within the item to be used ONLY with an action based upon the item).

Looks good to me.TheMyth wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 6:41 pmThe specific gun is just window dressing, but your description seems to place it within this category:Rex wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 3:11 pmKnife, the classic Italian stiletto will be her knife of choice but can improvise of course.TheMyth wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 5:42 am
Rosa Ciccone starts with some possessions:
A big handbag, a Smart Phone, a First Aid Kit, some hand tools (screwdriver, wrench, IKEA hex key, lockpicks), a bullet bra, a handgun/pistol, and....
With Fighting 2, Rosa can use hands or a weapon. Does she use a knife or something?
My choice would be, https://gritrsports.com/benchmade-infid ... ife-801200
Pistol will be a Beretta 70s in 380 ACP, 7 round capacity. If I were going to carry a pistol over a revolver is is one of the best for deep cover carry. I prefer a revolver but Rosa is going with classic Italian weapons.
Small Pistol, Range (5m/10m/20m/40m), Ammunition (6-7), Damage range (2/4/6), Recoil (-1)
Range is modified -0 at short, -2 at medium, -4 at long, -6 at extreme
Damage is points of Attribute loss based on level of success: 2 pts Success, 4 pts Good, 6 pts Fantastic.
Recoil means the gun can be fired multiple times in a round, with each additional shot taking cumulative recoil penalties (-1 on 2nd shot, -2 on 3rd, etc.)
Re: OOC Out of Character Chat
Do you all want me to continue to prompt about rolls, or would you just like me to make the rolls for you (at least at first)?
I am fine with either....

Re: OOC Out of Character Chat
either is fine - prompting will take longer; either way we can see how the system works and learn from that

Re: OOC Out of Character Chat
i can verify that - having driven motorcycles since i was a kid [ mostly wo/helmet ] but luckily wore one when i crashed a few years ago - still had a concussionOh! I like that! The rules are very fast & loose, but it seems to me a HELMET would provide head-focused armor. A minus to RESOLVE implies a head wound....let's reduce to just a -1!

Glad you had one on when you needed it!

Yup, helmet helps.

ANNOUNCEMENT
I am sorry, but I am ending this game and taking a break from most online gaming, especially here at Unseen Servant.
I would like to express my deep gratitude to each of you for helping me explore these rules. I think an experienced Ref could do some fun things with them. And you.
But, right now, I am burnt out dealing with problem gamers in other games and venues, and I cannot do you justice here.
Thank you again for your interest.

Re: OOC Out of Character Chat
I agree there. It is interesting, and it was getting better we found a Tardis.
At any rate if there is anything at all any of us can do to help let us know. Granted I can only speak for myself but I feel like Cyberservant and Rex would say the same.
