Jorly also is ready. Taking a moment to observe his surroundings.
Re: Feywild: Into the 'Wild Blue Yonder':
Dufr
Dufr will recover his bullet and then he is ready.

Raven
Will catch his breath.
Will catch his breath.
Re: Feywild: Into the 'Wild Blue Yonder':
Hake
Hake cuts, twists, and hacks a suitable short branch from a nearby tree. He puts it in his belt and joins the others, ready to resume their journey.

Re: Feywild: Into the 'Wild Blue Yonder':
Exploring the Feywild
Taking a breather, the group assess their surrounds. After the attack of the Blight-Hounds, nothing else stirs. It is actually a sigh of relief to leave the patch of Blighted Forest and return to more normal forest terrain. Birdsong again abundant and a feeling that the grass is greener certainly in these parts.
Moriartus takes the time to meditate for wisdom, joined by Two-Birds and Amphoebe.
Feywild intercession: [1d100]=15
Confident that Silvanus still hears petitions, they await a definitive sign and exiting the Blighted Wood, you spot a murmuration of colourful Sturnidae, the avian flock kin to Mynah birds. Unremarkable outside their normal environment but in the Harpy Chapel room, Dougal released the captive Mynah songbird and gained a blessing (actually invoked as a timely reminder to use the Butterfly runic tablet). But these birds can be seen as a good rather than ill omen as they circle overhead then swoop altogether in one singular direction. You trust the portent rather than just that extra tasty gnats must be over the following ridgeline.
Time passes following the faint deer trails but keeping to the general direction. Eventually the denser forest thins and patches of cultivated ground begins to appear. Indeed several Scarecrows, eerily used as perches for the blackest of ravens begin to appear, useless wardens then of the agricultural produce they are set to guard.
You come to the fringe of a small hamlet, not much more than a dozen thatched cabins. A few goats graze in a penned field, tin bells rattling around their necks. Smoke rises from a couple of cabins, exiting chimney stacks not from burning thatch.
Actions please

Moriartus
"Appears to be a simple hamlet ... yet, ravens are consorts of Impuraxians. This doesn't feel right. Mr. Dalin, Mr. Dufre. Would you scout the huts? I can aid you with invisibility."
Casts Invisibility on either, if they agree.

Dougal & COnmhaol hold their position and stay vigilant.
Re: Feywild: Into the 'Wild Blue Yonder':
Dufr
"I will scout ahead."
Dufr accepts the invisibility. Then moves towards the closest hut to see what he can learn.

Dalin nods his head and starts towards the huts to scout them out. Trying to be stealthy in the process.

Re: Feywild: Into the 'Wild Blue Yonder':
Hake
Hake watches, curious about the inhabitants. The scene seems peaceful enough, but the warning from Moriartus makes the hair on the back of his neck stand up.
He looks around for a place to take cover should the ravens swoop to attack.

Re: Feywild: Into the 'Wild Blue Yonder':
Invisibilities are cast and scouts sneak off unseen. The others wait on the settlement fringe, content to wait until security is confirmed.
Dufre & Dalin each take a side of the main track into the small hamlet. The scene looks quite pastoral, save for the squawking of crows and the apparent absence of people. The first homes checked in are both empty. Ransacked and interiors in disrepair. However the smoke from fires suggest not all have gone. The dwarves must communicate by whisper alone and scuffing boot-prints in the ground to stop one walking into the other.
Actions Dalin & Dufre, could you each roll a Move Silently skill please.
Those waiting scan the nearby fields and forests for threats, the ill flock of black ravens take flight, abandoning their scarecrow perches. The straw figures look on impassively, rats nibbling the corn at their feet. or do they? Dougal, Raven & Jorly are struck by a strange fascination with one crop guardian. Did it wink or turn a head? Maybe it frowned and grimaced so evilly, perhaps the breeze wafts it into the slightest of motions on an unsteady cruciform frame.
Scarecrows glance: Mo, Dou, Hk, Rv, Jo, Fr, Bn, Jk, TB [1d9]=5 [1d9]=4 [1d9]=2
Actions Dougal, Raven & Jorly each make a Wisdom modified save vs Charm effects please.
Actions everyone else once you notice any character change in a comrade.

Re: Feywild: Into the 'Wild Blue Yonder':
Moriartus
He immediately noticed the odd fixation in the demeanour of the three, but the reason wasn't readily apparent, apart from something in the crop fields. He motions to Hake and the mercenaries, indicating caution, then casts Invisibility upon himself.

Re: Feywild: Into the 'Wild Blue Yonder':
Hake
Hake sees the warning from Moriartus, then observes the lack of reaction from Jorly, Raven and Dougal. Noting their stillness and sudden fascination, he raises his shield to block his eyeline. Next Hake looks to the side and rear for any sizable tree to take shelter behind.
"Shield your eyes and take cover!" he calls to those who seem capable of doing so.

Re: Feywild: Into the 'Wild Blue Yonder':
Village of the Damned...
just a title to keep you paranoid ...
Invisible, unseen but not unheard, Dufr & Dalin sneak along between the deserted and ransacked cabins to the nearest one that shows signs of habitation. Floorboards creak under their heavy boots, announcing their lurking about to the room occupants. From the open doorway of a cabin you see an elven woman restocking logs into a hearth. A small cauldron bubbles with a minty stew scent. By her side she rocks a cradle that holds a babe swaddled in linens. She hums a lullaby of sorts, hushing the sleeping babe. At the creak she turns to face the verandah decking that you stand upon. She looks scared and harassed, expressing a traumatised persona. She does not see you and you both halt.
actions Dufr & Dalin
Meanwhile on the village fringe, the remainder of the group have come under the odd gaze effects of several grotesque scarecrows.
Dougal stands agape, staring incoherently at the motionless strawman that has transfixed his attention. Likewise Raven & Jorly seem temporarily mesmerized. The mage's Familiar cat Lenore hisses and Conmhaol barks.
For Moriartus & Perseverance Hake and npc's, Two-Birds, Froed, Ben & Jake and Ash Gnolem, you have freedom to act but it takes a round to notice that comrades are suddenly 'not with it' though the cause of their hiatus is not immediately noticed. However each of the Scarecrows seem to have drawn a number of squeaking rodents that begin to frantically swarm around their poles with an eerie and threatening intent.
Actions please sorry Jorly, Dougal & Raven are transfixed so unable to act until that effect is broken.
