Re: Quest #44 "The Ethereal Job"
Theo sees Alordan touch the floating diamond and both turn to ash and drop on the floor and fears the worst. The shiny diamond didn't shine on. It and Alordan didn't blink to some other plane, they dropped to ash on the floor. But it was wondrous how Andron set the controls to the Heart and the Sun. And now the gnome brothers speaking of a Syd, within the pink mist of the "floyd."
His tossed copper piece and tentative poking around with his sword in the grand treasure isn't going to do anything. As would just venturing into it itself. Without first understanding the mystery of the gnome bros's mystery of Syd.

His eyes widen again, this time expanding to the size of serving platters, as motes of apparently disintegrated Amun slowly collect at his feet. The clattering sound of the tossed light crossbow snaps him immediately out of his stunned shock. "Perhaps we should just heed the warning and leave this vault as is. I have never heard of this Great Wizards Tribunal and we are technically trespassing." He steps out of the vault to test Feanol's suggestion.

Torbath
Torbath ties his rope to one of the nice looking chests with the sword in it and then exits the room while holding the rest of the rope.

Alordan is quite reluctant to enter the room, but not so reluctant that he won't help Torbath pull out some possible improvements to their collective arsenal.

The Ethereal Job
Astronomy Domine
The Dark Rock
With the ashy remnants of Amun's body still floating down to form a small pile on the floor of the vault, Andron suggests they leave this stuff alone. Following the advice of the distant Feanol, he exits the vault without incident to join Maag and Alordan outside.
Grimble and Grumble look over the ashes but decide to stay inside, though neither touches anything else until after they see the results of Torbaths experiment.
Tying a rope to the gem filled chest containing the sword, shield, and armor inside, Torbath and Alordan pull the heavy chest across the floor and out into the main chamber. Torbath can now tell with certainty that all three of these items glow with a magical aura.
Seeing no ill effect, Grimble and Grumble follow suite, tying another rope to another chest in an attempt to get more out of this vault.

Alordan pulls the rope until the chest is out of the room. He glances at Torbath at some point and utters, "Sucks about Amun, eh?"

"I am not assuming Amun is done for - yet. I am hopeful that this is an intimidation tactic, which I will call the Sin Bin. But yes, is sucks about Amun. First we need to empty the chests and pull them empty back into the room. The chest must be back in position when we are done. Let us be quick about it before his penalty runs its course."

When she sees them get out of the vault she will move forward with the others. She will assist in emptying the chests.

Theo follows suit and uses his rope and possibly his seine net to pull chests and items out of the room. He's careful not to disturb the pile of dust that was poor Amun. "Maybe there's something that can be done yet," he thinks and hopes.

Maag remains skeptical, but it seems as if the situation is safe. He moves into the vault slowly and begins to search for any hidden or secret compartments.

Greed is #3
The Dark Rock
Torbath, Feanol, and Alordan stand above the chest they just fished from the vault as Grimble and Grumble yank another stuffed coffer out behind them. Both gnomes look up at Torbath in complete confusion. "Penalty? What is it that you're referring to, if you don't mind me asking?"
Theo follows the lead of the others, methodically pulling a third chest across the floor, being cautious to avoid running over Amun's ash pile.
Maag finally enters as well, looking around for secrets, while Andron eventually re-enters to seek out the mundane. (nothing in here looks plain or cheap at first glance) Exactly 60 seconds after the unfortunate demise of Amun, they both notice something strange inside the vault now. Things are starting to look a little hazy and uncertain. The walls and magnificent contents of this place slowly begin to shimmer and wave, as if they were an illusion slowly fading from sight.

Re: Quest #44 "The Ethereal Job"
Theo calls out, No! I don't think so! It's real! It's just going back to the Floyd! Like the four-armed things did. He runs into the room, casts his eyes about, and hefts the pile with what looks like the pile that looks like it has the best assortment of magic scrolls, potions, helms, shields, belts, bracers, boots, gems, gold pieces, electrum pieces, et cetera, and runs out with it and dumps it into the hallway. Then runs back again, and scoops as much as he can of Amun's dust onto his not-yet island-fouled and stinky kerchief. He ties the corners in a bundle and lays it in the hallway. Get what we can, before it washes away to the Pink and the Floyd! We solved it! Grumble and Grimble were right! Hurry! For our future breakfasts and baths! We solved it! He rushes into the room again, avoiding any illusory dangling crystal apples or mouths speaking from ceilings. Fully aware that he might be the next pile of dust, or fade into the pink mists of the Floyd, to hope for rescue in a place which may not be a pleasure dome, decreed by Kublai Khan....

Torbath
Torbath will dump out the contents of the chest pulled out of the room and shove them back to their original location while staying on the outside of the room. "Theo while what you suggest very well could be a possibility I am hopeful that when the treasure here transfers to what I assume is its back-up location all the dust and Amun which are there along will be released from the Sin Bin or Penalty Box and returned this empty room. Either way I believe, the only treasure will be keeping needs to be out of the chests and out of the room, like now."

Almost expecting such an event, Andron checks himself over, still standing in the vault. He does indeed detect that he is also fading away, just like everything else inside this place in time.
Maag also sees himself fading away, but once he wisely backs out of the vault, his condition rapidly returns to normal, making him glad he decided to run like hell.
Showing possible signs of brain damage, Thoe calls out that he believes the treasure is simply washing away into the floyd. But that doesn't stop him from RUSHing back inside to join the others, immediately noticing that he too is now fading away just like Andron and the the other contents. Despite the horror of vanishing from existence, he starts grabbing up an armful of treasure and magic items.
Seeing the money grab going on in front of her, Feanol also rushes inside to help herself to some of the fading treasure, now suddenly fading right along with it.
Torbath and Alordan seem to have the right idea after witnessing their friends suddenly disappearing, both of them staying clear of the room. They wonder wots.......uh the deal with those who ran back inside. When Torbath dumps out the contents of the chest outside the vault, it spills out over the hard stone floor. When he shoves the empty chest back into the room, it instantaneously starts to shimmer and fade.
