OOC
Re: OOC
Do Freemen wear ankle bracelets?Er, not the "Freedom" you were thinking of. More of an Ohgman "I can no longer kill you with impunity" thing. Kar and Reggies' relationship IS complicated, but technically she is still a slave, though not a Thrall. But, to treat a highly skilled and valued crew member as such, would in Kar's opinion, be unwise.

Re: OOC
Freed slaves do not, by definition, wear ankle bracelets.
Regina is not actually free. She is technically still a slave, and so she should wear an anklet. On Oghma, she definitely ought to, on the ship, that's up to Kar.
However, there are several settings on those things, and some are functionally inactive. A trusted slave is probably only wearing the thing because it shows they are not (yet) truly free. On Oghma this gives some protection - being owned by a Corsair (or Raider) is safer than being a free non-Oghman.
Big deadlined job out of the way, attention back online. Until the next deadline gets close.

Well done the GM for fighting off reality!
I have a Raven (chez latrine) post...
... and, no, it bears no resemblance to Blazing Saddles / the Derek and Clive "Nurse!" sketch!!!
If she makes it in time... without anything happening... oh, for goodness sakes! Quiet in the cheap seats!!!
Ahem, should it favour the plot - I'll slip it in...
Lordy, finally managed that one!
First sign of innuendo in a post and I whip it out immediately!
(RIP Kenneth Williams - from whom I borrowed above).

Re: OOC
Unfortunately, reality fought back, and filled the available time with... stuff
Writing time was eaten by the fridge/freezer filling the floor with water overnight, and the consequent emptying/defrosting/cleaning/restocking. Fun.
Looks like the now traditional Thursday Night Post again, after all.
However, if the post is entertaining and takes account of that...

The idea of Raven "going" behind the pavilion horrifies the Aslan. Sivitri was going to be detailed to guide her to an empty stateroom in the corridor.I have a Raven (chez latrine) post...

Re: OOC
Yes, written in the assumption that Aslan propriety vs. the threat of unrestricted "barbarian toileting" (Nooooo! ) would yield Raven getting a moment of privacy (and thereby saving the "admin" of dealing with that in an IC post).
And maybe to herself...
All with the goal of Raven getting herself a private bog.
Thus allowing the insertion of some preparatory IC actions and more RP "fluff".
The entertainment value (if any and always) remains in the eye of the beholder...
Yes and taking that into account. As to entertainment Raven may be currently "leveraging" many a masque to all and sundry! The Bindoner wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 10:08 pm However, if the post is entertaining and takes account of that...

Hence see the above and why the last IC post's gambit included threatening to spoil the Aslan carpet...The Bindoner wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 10:08 pm The idea of Raven "going" behind the pavilion horrifies the Aslan. Is there sports? I'm afraid I don't notice it.
I finally managed to stop fiddling with things and post, sorry for the two-day delay - I was out of connection for a while.

Ah, yes - Question: Is the gun Tiv slips to Rubati completely unloaded, or did he leave a round chambered?

Remington's goggles (sorry for the massive image, finding exactly this one was harder than I thought)

Re: OOC
That's a splendid picture
I have a pile of IRL tasks swamping me. Builders due on Monday to replace windows, re-plaster and paint the front of the house, so I've been shifting furniture, my wife's painting studio, the log baskets, the bookshelves etc. for the last few days. One more day, and that'll be done. Guests arrive on Monday, too, so there's cleaning and making of beds to be slotted in, too.
Should be an interesting week. Personally, I think it's a bold roll of the dice to fit windows at this time of year. Let's hope their skill and stat mods outmatch the situation mod.
Unlikely to post before Tuesday, sorry.

Re: OOC
No worries! I'm in similar flux but now in the lull between painters and a (final) batch of window men (actually glaziers) for the conservatory and waiting on the deck man to start...
I think you'll be fine for your windows. The speed at which they can rip old windows out and replace them makes any reasonable person fearful as to the burglar proofing of their home but then immediately suspicious that even Olympic level breaking and entering skills clearly can't beat the earning potential of simply being a builder...
I'm not sure that I have the dexterity for drone pilotage but I might just start wearing the very fetching hats!

Re: OOC
Yes. I adopted Raven's term, it's short and appropriate. He adjusts his position so as to maintain a clear field of fire on the heavily armored one (is that Troll?)
The windows came out easily enough, they worked quite fast, seemed nice enough and the weather was calm and mostly dry, but... they wrecked two of the custom-fitted blinds (looks like they used a crowbar to unhitch them) and broke one of the custom windows they were fitting. So, once they build a new window, they'll be back to see what new damage they can do next time. I'll probably have finished clearing up the shards of glass distributed through the house and garden by then.
Stripping of rotten plaster begins early-doors.

You have my complete and utter sympathy. The Bindoner wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 10:54 pm ... they wrecked two of the custom-fitted blinds (looks like they used a crowbar to unhitch them) and broke one of the custom windows they were fitting...
My first set of builders were double specialised in moronicism and seemed to have such an utter inability to predict the consequences of their actions that it actually flew in the face of Darwinian selection. e.g. a builder is in a foundation trench partially flooded by raw sewerage from the pipe they had just cut through (actually intended). Fearful of contacting the waste he asked his mate up top to fetch a breezeblock for him to stand on. His mate returned only to pitch the block to land squarely one foot in front of him thereby splattering him from head to toe...

Re: OOC
Somehow I can only imagine that in Wallace and Grommet style claymation.
