Okay, I think that the right edge of the map is "north", so Caermel is north of Burzyn. If so, then we came in across the two bridges and the closest gate into the Keep is the East gate. Not that we're going in, but it's a point of reference. Meeting outside, in the area near the east gate, would be easy to do since many of the shop keepers will be closing down soon, and the usual vendor carts will probably be packing up for the day. Just my guess, anyway.

If that makes sense, I'll edit Gerolt's comment about meeting at the well. I forgot that Burzyn was on the river, not much call for wells outside of the keep. I'm not sure where the two Inns are, but Gerolt would likely prefer the lower cost one, since he doesn't really have a revenue stream yet. He's going to look for his friend the townguardsman, first, though.

You are correct. Sorry about the tilted map. Also check out the other 3 maps I posted that should help.

Gerolt replied. He spoke of the king, and the prince that they were going to hunt with, as well. Cue DM post :)
Does this mean you are going to try and see the King and Prince? Was waiting for a little direction on where people were going first. Keep in mind it is late afternoon.

Oh, no. Still on the original plan to split up and each do a part. It's only three in the afternoon, and if we split up we should be able to get everything mostly done before retiring to an inn for the evening. IIUC, most feudal work is done while the sun is up, right? Gerolt would have suggested meeting back together in the open area (unless a tavern is there?) across from the East gate, he was just using the keep as a point of reference and answering Eldura's question.

Either unfitted leather or padded armor should work for Eldura. Women in armor, IIUC, use cloth to contain "the girls"; that should allow a standard size set or armor to fit. The fantasy art with buxom bikini chainmail isn't quite the feudal thing, though Eldura can chamion that, if she wants. :D

I'm not sure whoever we should find an armourer who handles exotic leather see if they suggest a tanner, or visa-versa. Or perhaps both. I doubt there is going to be a large amount of choice.

I'm still learning the Harn system, does talking to the baron give Gerolt a roll to improve his Rhetoric? He had improved it on the ride in, with coaching from Eldura and Arngeir.

In Harn you don't roll for everything. So a simple conversation doesn't require a roll. For example if you are trying to convince the Baron not to burn a witch at the stake I would require a roll. In the case of your recent discussion I made the roll with real dice as I felt you wouldn't know the outcome exactly (and I feel sometimes secret rolling maintains a bit of tension). I do not fall into the 5E style of skill rolls where you can convince someone/something of anything. Don't eat me Mr Dragon, I roll vs whatever and make it so the Dragon is friendly, or I rolled a 20 so anything is possible.

Makes sense. I'm hoping to improve Gerolt's Rhetoric skill, and don't want to miss an opportunity if one is there. I wasn't sure how much Baron Rythal knew about, or cared to listen to Gerolt, so I looked to the Rhetoric roll for hope. :) That's why Gerolt spent a lot of time mentally setting up the conversation, he knew it was iffy if it was just his skill. You making rolls also makes sense, I'll just try to skew the odds heavily in my favor.

Gerolt's current plan is to be in charge of rebuilding Darcen, and that calls for Rhetoric, Intrigue, and a decent revenue stream. If that plan doesn't work out, he'll come up with another. For the nonce, he's focused on Darcen.

If it had been a critical I would have let you know to make a skill improvement roll. All hope is not lost you had a difficult job of convincing him and may have nudged him one way or the other but no final decision is made yet. thus is life.

I will try and get some more info up on the king, prince and marshal soon, but this week is crazy busy at work so it is slow going for me. Unfortunately I can't just take a pic and post as there is way to much info you wouldn't know so I will try and distill it into something understandable.
