Can we make it to Burzyn by foot today before it gets dark?

Yes.

To Burzyn from Caermel is 1.2 leagues or 3 miles by well maintained road. It is still morning.

Thanks. I wasn't quite sure how long the meeting took.

I'm thinking we head straight to Burzyn. We've got time to get there and find an inn for a couple of nights.

Makes sense to me. I will wait and see what everyone thinks before posting again.

Hi guys, sorry for the low response rate from me. I'm on my second week of vacation in London (no less). And I have not had access to my computer (which is good in a way since it's good to be disconnected once in a while). We did visit the Warner Bros set of Harry Potter, which was really cool. All of the original sets used in the movie was there!

If armor is available, and can be crafted in time for the hunt, I can have a look at a set. Might use kurbul for a chest piece, for example, depending on the weight.
Gerolt would be happy to help. That also gives time for Eldura to add to her clothing. She can still use Gerolt's, but it would help to accessorize.

For armor the 2 big issues will be time and money. I have a busy day today but once I have a few minutes I can post some sets of armor and costs.

We can probably work around that easily enough. Gerolt has a contact in the Burzyn Town Guard, should be easy enough to borrow a basic set of armor, and get a tabard to cover most of it. Gerolt is the type of guy that if someone does him a favor, he'll repay it. If they use crossbows, and they might since regular bows are more difficult, it'll be more of a favor. :)

Crossbow should be easy to locate. I have them as more common on my p-Harn (personal Harn). They offer a couple of advantages over a bow, the biggest being the amount of training involved as you mentioned. Armor relies on fit so may be trickier.

The leather I used to have was pretty decent. Thick in the front and back, with an extra piece in the center of the chest. It was joined at the shoulders, so you'd pull it over your head, and then use a thick belt to hold it in place. That allowed a wide size variety, which was good. I've never been skinny!

Nice sastaz! Looks like you are enjoying the time. My wife would be jealous. But hey maybe I can convince her that we should save up to go there. ;)

I will try and get a post up moving this along to Burzyn late tonight or Thursday morning. If there is anything you want to do/say before then post away.

I will try and get a map up after work tonight but it isn't really necessary. Assume Gerolt knows his way around and it is small enough and organized enough that everyone can find their way easy enough.
