Re: OOC
Conclusively out of time.
Too many things.
Including a film-crew blocking the whole road outside our house (attitude range: *shrug* to "we'll only be a minute" (read: as long as we like). The car directly blocking our gate was the last to move). Upside: TV's Martin Clunes said he liked our dog
More down than up...
Looking back, I see that Tiv and Raven seem to have Connections to Sigbjørn. Read down from: https://www.unseenservant.us/forum/view ... 74#p651274

A popular translation is "Who watches the watchmen?". Or who polices the police.
Re: Connections.
I think Tiv and Sigbjørn likely met when Tiv was installing the missile launchers on the Serpent. Sigbjørn earned a level of Naval Architect from the connection. Work on ships is the province of the Priesthood, after all.

Re: OOC
I'll put this one out to a group decision:
Now we have a PC pilot, do we retain Arnwulf as an NPC, or does he depart for Oghma on one of the approaching Ásgeirr ships?

Re: OOC
Two thoughts:
1) Depends on whether Sigbjorn (or is it Ecthilion?) is going to take his fighter on our expedition.
2) We are hoping to take possession of another ship. Will we take the Aslan ship out on the expedition..assuming we don't TPK in the attempt to take it?

Re: OOC
Well here's Tiv actually making a good point, and I was going to joke about keeping an NPC pilot around because we have a terrible track record with player pilots!

Re: OOC
I would like to take my fighter with me lol, it's useful and it has blinking lights and stickers. And it can land. And it can pew pew and broom broom

Re: OOC
More "whizzz-bang" and "dakka-dakka" than "pew-pew" - it's got missiles and an autocannon, but no lasers

Re: OOC
Please note my carefully reasoned response re the fighter above!
I think it would be useful/a new tactical option and if that's our new PC's "niche" then why not?
Also I suggest we should probably have at least some of the pilot discussion IC - because Raven... er... meant to type because reasons... Obviously...

Since we are currently running a cutting out operation we should have a prize crew to hand / retain Arnwulf at least temporarily.Gorethirster wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 3:52 am Well here's Tiv actually making a good point, and I was going to joke about keeping an NPC pilot around because we have a terrible track record with player pilots!

Re: OOC
Sigbjørn arrived on a fighter, but it's not his speciality - he's a better pilot on bigger ships (Threshing Oar class, obviously).
I'll keep Arnwulf around in the background for now then, we'll see how things go.
Of course, for all we know Ridley is still somewhere in the crawlspaces, emerging only to whisper "soup" in the sleeping Remington's ear before skittering back into obscurity...

Fully agree on Arnwulf until we know what happens with Pouncer!

The others are mostly canon ships from across Traveller history, so [Google]Duck-Duck-Go-able?
Your fighter and the Tyrian ship SS Ilsa are homebrew.
