Dave - realised I hadn't updated spells etc since start of day (fairly sure none cast today and certainly not 4!) . Also took a 2nd level and updated turning table for being 3rd level. Let me know if you're not okay with this?

You're good. I don't indicate which, but I do track the number of remaining spells in the 'Signature' thread and have you with the full compliment.saalaria wrote:Dave - realised I hadn't updated spells etc since start of day (fairly sure none cast today and certainly not 4!) . Anyone else can't get into the dice roller? I hit the link top right and the page won't come up, just a pop-up window asking for name and password. I put it in and it comes up again. I'm on my ipad and haven't gotten that before. Same thing on iphone. I also tried hitting a linked roll, and got same thing.

I have a nightmare everything gets lost. I assume they backup daily so as to recover if such a thing happened?

you would expect so but I have no idea what hosting company is used.
Re: Still More Anything Goes
I just tried now and got in no problem. I can make rolls and search historical rolls without incident.Grognardsw wrote:Anyone else can't get into the dice roller?
Hopefully it was just a temporary glitch.

Now, if that's a subtle suggestion that you're due the bonus experience points, I'm aware.
Re: Still More Anything Goes
are there rules for "lay on hands"? ie, could a paladin perform it while sleeping, ie if someone were to pick his arm up and lay it on his shoulder?

Massive, station-wide train problems on commute home. They have us packed on like sardines so no update on commute home.

So now you know how we felt in that first trog lair battle...dmw71 wrote: They have us packed on like sardines so no update on commute home.

Re: Still More Anything Goes
The nerfing of hold person in 2E hurt. I was going to dual class to magic user but I wa so close to 4th level I was going to wait to do it instead of doing it at 3rd. If I had i would have memorized sleep.
2 HD creatures were just to much for us, to easy to hit us, to hard to hit them, and takes to many hits to kill them.

Re: Still More Anything Goes
I knew attempting to clear out a lair of troglodytes was going to be tough (especially when you consider the number of combative females nearly matches the number of males), but with some of you reaching third level, I really thought you guys had a chance. Twice finding your group pinned in and being attacked from both ends really hurt, though.
Re: Still More Anything Goes
A few things might have helped. The 2E nerfing of Protection from Evil didn't help. And if we were going to take on trogs in their lair, we really needed more than some of us to be third level.
Thing is, I'm not sure where the fatal mistake was, other than "never fight trogs in their lair." Dungeon delving is such an integral part of AD&D that it's hard to say that merely entering a lair is something that we have should foreseen as folly.
