Boff continues to move silently, but must come out of the shadows to get close enough to attack Yellow 3, which he does with a vengeance.

MS 75 [1d100]=12
HS 62 [1d100]=73
Hopefully he isn't seen by the creature as he covers the last few feet

Longsword back attack [1d20+6]=8+6=14 Hits AC 1 AC 5 if seen by yellow 3 (forgot to add STR bonus to roll)
Longsword damage M [1d8+3]=7+3=10 L [1d12+3]=10+3=13
quad damage for backstab, if successful, so 40 or 52

Frannie continues to move cautiously forward, looking to see if any of the party need her healing urgently.

Red Warrior - I know my post is lengthy with some much going on, but you had to make a saving throw before you move since you were so well hidden Siouxsie did not see you were in her area of effect.
gurusql wrote: Tue Mar 14, 2023 7:32 am Siouxsie also has trouble, but manages to cast her Entangle spell. It has the chance to Entangle five creatures (4 Shtelke and Boff!) This will require another saving throw vs. Spells for Boff, this one will be at a +1 bonus. Yellow3 and Yellow6 are completely UNaffected, Yellow4 will get 1/2 move as the vines try and stop her and Yellow5 is trapped at this time.

Ouch, let's try and stay on:
DEX [5d6]=21

Garrant goes flying as his horse bolts.
The fall does 1 HP of damage, and assuming that you want to stand up you still could cast a short spell or attempt to move a little.

In the Jotens - Multiple Fronts - So many front - what is next?
Late Afternoon Starday, 8th day of Planting, 597
3rd day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 31[+0=31]/63) SH:18
Androgost (AC -6, HP 59/65, Armor 23/26)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 23/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2 (1), HP 26/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 7/50)
Hex (AC 5, HP 14/27)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 21/21, Armor 8/8)

Boff (AC 5, HP 55/61)
Franny (AC 4, HP 26/26)

The winds continue to grow in strength moving a clockwise manner around Siouxsie. The winds have reached 18 MPH and the gas cloud is effectively gone.

Starting from the bottom of the map and moving up.

Androgost wounds Red 2 with a sword through the gut for 9 HP damage. Qleceec lands to long sword strikes on Pink 2 - Killing the creature. Nah Olos faces the green dragon lion hybrid (Pink D) and lands a strong blow with his bastard sword for 19 points (this is a considered large creature for weapon damage, so I re-rolled for you)

Garrant is a in a little trouble with his horse bolting and knocking him down. The wizard priest gets back-up and Magic Missiles the two-head hybrid for 9 point damage. The hybrid is looking wounded but looks to press the attack.

Raffi tries to attack with his short sword (a miss) and his dagger (a fumble). Per the house rule there is a chance to not fumble (the d10=2 does not help) so the halfling stumbles and loses next rounds action.

Hex cast a mirror image spell and gets four images. I will allow it, but please remember is d100+Level not a d4.

Siouxsie casts a Barkskin spell to improve her AC.

Franny is watching the horses and Boff makes his saving throw again (I rolled for you! Entangles only slow you down can't stop you!) and kills Yellow4 that was attacking Siouxsie.

And that takes it to the Shtelke side.

Red 2 and Red 3 are unable to get through Androgost's armor.
Red 1 and Pink1 do much better against Qleceec scoring crit claw, bite, claw and crit bite against the Ranger (this dice roller has it in for some people! :surprised: ) for total of 16 points of damage!
Red 7 and Red 8 attacking land only a single claw for 4 points of damage. The larger creature that Nah Olos knew he had to defend himself against performs a claw / claw / bite hitting with all three for 16 points of damage almost matching the damage from Nah Olos himself.

Garrant is surrounded and gets claw / claw /bite / bite (all hits) from the two-headed hybrid for a total of 17 points. Yellow 1 lands only a claw (for 3 points) , Yellow 2 a claw and bite (for 5 total points), and Pink 3 a claw for 3 points and then a fumble where the Stumble (lose next action), hit self; roll for critical hit (8 points)! Garrant is in a bad place.

Pink 4 and Pink 5 head for Hex and Raffi's horses that are tied up. Just getting there (off map) this round.

Blue 6 attempts to claw / claw / bite the halfling, but no hits against that plate mail the halfling thief wears.

The dragon / lion hybrid (Blue D) tries to claw / claw / bite against the gnome. He is hit with two claws but not the powerful bite - but is he. No, two of the four images are destroyed instead. Hex is not as bad off as Garrant but is a close second.

Yellow3 continues the claw / claw / bite thing against Siouxsie and even with the Barkskin in play she is hit by all three attacks! For a total of 11 points of damage.

Yellow 6 goes after Boff from the backstab and hitting him with a claw and bite for 6 points of damage.

And no reinforcements come and no dragon comes, but other Shtelke can be heard in the forest messing with the horses. The sounds are not good.

Androgost

In an effort to get to Garrant swings at Red 2 for his first attack and Red 1 for his second, if he can do that. Otherwise both attacks go to Red 2.

In the Jotens - Multiple Fronts - So many front - what is next?
Late Afternoon Starday, 8th day of Planting, 597
3rd day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 48[+0=48]/63) SH:17
Androgost (AC -6, HP 58/65, Armor 22/26)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 7/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2 (1), HP 26/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 24/50)
Hex (AC 5, HP 14/27)
Raffi (AC 6, HP 18/21)

Boff (AC 5, HP 49/61)
Franny (AC 4, HP 26/26)

The winds continue to grow in strength moving a clockwise manner around Siouxsie. The winds have reached 21 MPH.

Starting from the top of the map and moving down.
  • Franny (off the map) is looking for an opponent to come to her. She cannot decide if she should go to the horses - that will mean taking on two Shtelke by herself.
  • Raffi recovers from the stumble and will get to act normal next round.
  • Hex casts Emerald Chromatic Orb and creates a stinking cloud just behind the creature, but there does not seem to be a direct effect.
  • Boff takes a swing at the Shtelke attacking him (Yellow 6) for killing her friend, but misses because of the vines.
  • Siouxsie attacks with her Khopesh wounding the Yellow 3 for 7 points of damage.
  • Garrant heals up nicely using a scroll, but still let's out a call for "Help".
  • Nah Olos slashes at the hybrid doing another 16 points of damage.
  • Qleceec drinks her potion of Extra-Healing and gets back 18 points.
  • Androgost splits his attacks, killing Red 2 and wounding Red 1 (that was attacking Qleceec) while ignoring Red 3.
Looking at the forces on the other side.

Off screen but in sight of Franny - Hex and Raffi's horses are lead off by two Shtelke.

Blue 6 attacking Raffi gets her two claws through the phantom plate mail, one being a critical hit for a total of 11 points of damage. With this the illusionary armor is destroyed reducing his future AC.

The lion / dragon hybrid (Blue D) attempts to claw / claw / bite on Hex. Please note that there was an error and Hex has three remaining images (started with 5 not 4). The beast hits two of the images that are not Hex (including one of them critically) and then fumbles on the bite (no long term effect)

Yellow 3 attacks Siouxsie with claw /claw / bite after that Khopesh hit. All three attacks miss, perhaps in part from the Barkskin!

Yellow 6 attacks Boff also claw /claw / bite and hits with all three but only does 6 points of damage.

Garrant has healed himself, but fundamentally is still surrounded by four foes all claw/claw/biting (with the two headed hybrid biting twice). Yellow 1 gets a claw and bite in for 7 points, Yellow 2 gets one claw in for 3 points and Pink 3 gets in a claw and bite for 3 points. The hybrid connects with both paws (claws) and the lion bite for 9 points of damage. Erasing half the hit points healed.

Red 1 is confused on the Androgost attack and accidentally claw Pink1 for 4 points, but does get the other claw on Qleceec for 1 HP.

Red 3 still tries to harm Androgost and manages to get a claw through for two points of damage. (1 HP and 1 Armor Point)

The hybrid labeled as Pink D attempts a strategic withdrawal. This will give Nah Olos the choice here (a) press the attack which will give Nah Olos the next attack, but the hybrid still get this attack and then the full next action or (b) let the creature disengage from HTH. At the same time Red 7 attacks Nah's flank with a claw and bite for 8 points and Red 8 does the same hitting with a claw and bite for 8 points. It might be time for the Half-orc to call out for help as well.

One (new) Shtelke (labelled Pink 6) flies near Androgost and says in a deep voice in common. "This is Preblshienchiashav speaking. Agree to leave your groups four-legged animals and 2000 gp in coins or gems and you will be allowed to leave my realm. This is my final offer. If you do not agree the rest of my children and I will be coming to eat you and your fiends!

With that it is the parties action!
