Re: Tracks In The Desert
Cyril
Takes a crow hop and fires a sling bullet at one of the twin blowgunners. He stands just outside the doorway, loading another bullet and eyeing the robed humans suspiciously.

Re: Tracks In The Desert
Drest
Drest moves up to the corner next to the door and puts his back to the wall, still in room #9, facing south.
Yelling to the others, "Let me know if you need me, I will watch our backs until you do."
He is not in combat shape if it can be helped.

Valkrina
Running across the room, she passes the blow-dart and two poisoned shafts to Drest. "Cover us". she says, then ducks and dives herself into the melee fray, taking in the nearest opponent. (Probably an S figure).

Would he be able to get an attack with the blowgun this round?

Re: Tracks In The Desert
A Scout has a -2 penalty using an unskilled weapon, and he would be firing into melee at another -2, and Cyril is already firing from the doorway. So, I guess that's a no.

With Kar and Tam both currently being NPC'd, I will write an update here shortly.

Re: Tracks In The Desert
What A Lovely Room Of Death
Ruined Warlords Palace, Late Afternoon
Akhilleus starts to wobble slightly from the strange poison coursing through his bloodstream. Though his strength and accuracy are clearly hobbled, he is still able to cut down the slave trying to kill him, sliding over to the blowgunners next.
Xenos and the second crazed slave trade off blows as well, neither causing enough damage to bring the other down. 4 dam Snorri doesn't bother with the log jam of friendlies in front of him, instead leaping up on the blood and guts strewn table to charge the filthy cannibal's eating the still living captives on the other side of the room. He is able to wound one of them while they both turn to attack the Viking with makeshift clubs.
In an unexpected turn, Valkrina continues with her song, but instead of keeping her distance from any danger, she charges into the room, handing off the hollow tube and darts she picked up to Drest along the way. She stabs one of the blowgunners next to Akhilleus, finding the extra strength she needs to succeed within the lines of her own uplifting tales.
Drest moves up to the wall next to the doorway, watching as Cyril tries in vain to accurately fire his sling into the suddenly crowded room. The priest of Azothoth watches the 2 robed figures monitoring the action from the top of the stairway, seeing one of them pull out what appears to be a wand of some kind. The way they watch the fighting with cocked heads and unchanging inquisitive smiles gives the desert wanderer a great deal of pause.
Actions!
Xenos AC:6 4/12 1st:2/2
Akhilleus AC:4 19/32 Poisoned (-4 on attack/dam rolls)

Re: Tracks In The Desert
Xenos grits his teeth at the pain and tries to take down the slave:
Initiative: [1d6]=3
Scimitar (long): to-hit [1d20+4]=12+4=16, damage [1d8+3]=4+3=7
Scimitar (long): to-hit [1d20+4]=13+4=17, damage [1d8+3]=8+3=11
If the the first attack takes out the slave then, if allowed, can I move to join Snorri and use the second attack of one of those slaves?

Re: Tracks In The Desert
I will read up on this, but as I interpret the rules, he can only attack and then move. Not attack, move, then attack again. (there might be a way around that mixed in with the "other" combat actions, but I cant think of one off the top of my head)
Re: Tracks In The Desert
Fair enough if it's not an option. Either way he'll move to join Snorri, assuming he takes down the slave of course.

Cyril fishes around in his sling bullet sack until he finds one that is particularly round. He loads, swings, and lets it fly towards one of the robed figure with the wand.

Akhilleus
I don't know how many attacks apply this round so I'm going to roll 4 times assuming there were 2 attacks on the previous one.
Akhilleus does not flinch and continues to attack the slaves despite the effect of the debilitating poison.
Broad sword (one-handed) - To hit: [1d20+2]=20+2=22; Dmg: [1d8+3]=6+3=9
Broad sword (one-handed) - To hit: [1d20+2]=18+2=20; Dmg: [1d8+3]=4+3=7
Broad sword (one-handed) - To hit: [1d20+2]=2+2=4; Dmg: [1d8+3]=3+3=6
Broad sword (one-handed) - To hit: [1d20+2]=6+2=8; Dmg: [1d8+3]=4+3=7
-4 on all rolls.

What A Lovely Room Of Death
Ruined Warlords Palace, Late Afternoon
Akhilleus strikes dead another flailing blowgunner with little help from Val this time. When his comrade sees yet another man die by the fighters sword, he takes off running towards the steps, watching as Cyril's sling stone smashes into one of the orange robed priests, causing him to turn and flee down the steps instead of implementing his device. The second priest just stands there observing quietly, as if he were unable to help out in any way. The skin on the pair of burning humans positioned over the fiery spit continues to bubble and burn, one of them still moaning softly as he slowly dies. The other remains silent, likely already having met his grizzly fate.
Drest stays put while Snorri continues to kick and hack away at the pair of slaves on him. After killing another, the huge Viking is smacked hard in his manhood area with a cheap-shot devastating blow that knocks the already badly wounded man backwards to fall unconscious on the filthy, blood strewn table. 6 dam Before the crazed slave gets a chance to take a big bite of fresh flesh, Xenos charges in to intercept the last of the insane cannibals.

Akhilleus is horrified at the cruel spectacle unfolding before his eyes. He rushes to one of the priests and presses the point of his sword against his throat.
"What is this. What kind of sadistic ritual is this!" he shouts, fury emanating from his every word.

Inspired herself after a first poor attack, charging with her spiked spear in both hands as one might try to run through a boar.
Valkrina: Spiked Spear [1d20+1]=18+1=19 [1d10]=9
She hunts down one of the priests as a target.

What A Lovely Room Of Death
Ruined Warlords Palace, Late Afternoon
Drest steps into the room to pull Snorri away from the danger. He stabilizes the big fighter as the battle rages nearby.
The second man burning to death on the spit stops moaning as the combatants continue their advance upon the enemy. The last blowgunner is grabbed by the lone priest and commanded to defend his retreat down the steps before he quickly disappears below.
Cyril tries another shot with his sling as Aklhilleus and Valkrina both charge towards the stairs, the latter running the blood crazed slave through with her spear before he has a chance to strike. Akhilleus sees only darkness below at the bottom of the narrow stairs.
Xenos wounds the final slave before getting cracked in the head by his club. 4 dam The blow knocks the already wounded desert Warlock out cold. As he falls to the ground, the final slave leaps upon him, trying to bite out his jugular, completely ignoring the others still inside the room.
