Hello All

#1 Post by Landifarne »

Hello All,

My name is Stephen, but Steve is also fine. I'm 42, a secondary school teacher, and began playing Basic and AD&D back in 1981. I had a long term hiatus (1992-2010) from gaming while I worked at school and on my career, but got back into things in 2011. rredmond's plugging of Unseen Servant on DF and K&KA is what drew me here.

I am interested in DMing a relaxed, consistent group here [I'll try to start up a new 1st level campaign around Thanksgiving or X-mas] and would be happy to participate in an occassional game as a player.

My schedule allows me to post 1-2 times per week, but I'll never miss a deadline.

Tastes run towards houseruled 1E, and I am certainly not a rules-lawyer. I prefer low-level, low-magic settings, but everything is fine as long as it isn't Monty Haul.

Hey Steve!

Good to see you here. We've also got some mapping and workshop type threads, if you're a glutton for punishment as I know you are doing alot for Footprints.

Be well man!

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Hi Land - everyone finds their way over here eventually - especially if Ron's involved!

Haven't read your CJ on dragonsfoot for a while - how's she getting on?

Welcome to the Unseen Servant, Steve!

In case you haven't stumbled across the player and GM links, here they are:

viewtopic.php?f=33&t=858
viewtopic.php?f=32&t=859

When you're ready to start up a game thread, just send a PM to ToniXX and he'll help you get it set up.

If you want to use the Unseen Servant Dice Roller in your game, you can start getting familiar with it here:

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Cheers,

Al

Hiya saalaria, glad to see you here! I slowed down a bit with my daughter's campaign, but did have my niece join her a few times. I last ran her through Wesley Clough's Shrieking Hollow adventure, and all but one of her characters were reduced below 0 hp.
Her thief character tricked the undead dogs that "killed" the others into a chasm and was able to heal the rest over a period of three days (underground).
Eventually, her characters made it out (and let me se up some future shennanigans).

I began a new adventure arc with her, but we've fallen off of playing in the recent months. I'll get back into it with her during the holidays, though.

I think I've read those play reports Steve!

My girls, 9 and 11 entered the Chagmat temple and tooled around a bit. Took a picture of my oldests map - we had to stop when the mapping, and octagonal rooms, gave her a headache. :)
