General (late) roll.

I agree on going north. I will stay in the middle prepared to help out with the valuable gifts the gods have granted me if needed. But with the might of our fine fighters, Tiny I’m talking about you, we will surly be fine.

Re: Chapter 05: Round the bend
Since no one objects, Thorelf has Tiny lead the way through the cell corridor up to the harbour and all the way to the cave mouth to the west there.

Re: Chapter 05: Round the bend
The group set out for the 'waterfront', to the 'north'. They walk through the 'table and chairs' room (17), pass through the broken down secret door (16), cross the small bridge across the stream (15) without spotting any signs of life.
The moment Tiny sets his foot inside room (14), a gigantic roar bellows at him: "Whhhaaauuurghh-grrrrr-arrrgghhh!!!" and it just won't stop, the brutally loud noise is incessant. Tiny please roll 1d20.

Re: Chapter 05: Round the bend
Korin muttering to himself something about failing to see how goin back to the waterfront will lead them out of this place.....or something along those lines for anyone able to hear him. The dwarf stands there fingers in his hears to block out some of the loud noise.

Re: Chapter 05: Round the bend
Although the sound level is deafening,
Tiny's
eardrums escape unscathed - probably thanks to the helmet he's wearing. But the noise is super-numbing and anyone staying around for long will risk aural injury.
The group, with collective fingers in ears, move out into the cell corridor where the whole episode once started (2). Shortly after the last person has left the magic mouth room, the gruesome growl subsides.

Which onward path do you choose, to get to the 'waterfront' ?

Re: Chapter 05: Round the bend
Korin motions to Thorelf to lead since he is the one that has decided the dwarf's path to be incorrect. "Yer leadin this expedition now lad."

Thorelf nods to Korin.
"Oh, okay. Thanks, I guess. Is there more than one way? Yeah, okay, sure if we go back to the..." Thorelf seems to plot a map in his head while drawing air arrows with his finger.
"But no, that will only be longer and more perilous. We'll go this way."
He will lead the team into the guard room and then through the secret corridor to the docks. However, before entering the docks through that cool door, he will see to it that the party scans the docks for any activity.

Re: Chapter 05: Round the bend
this could be my confusion but initially Korin was going to go through a door heading west on the map, then we heard a dog fight from one direction and found dog bed the other way. I thought we were going to try going north but for some reason we ended up going back to the waterfront. So either I missed something or i d k what happened.

Re: Chapter 05: Round the bend
DM comment: yes, I, too thought that when facing 'northwards' into a room (23) and players say 'let's go north', this logically would mean: 'lets continue further into this room (23) that we are standing outside of'. However, technically, the waterfront also lies 'northwards' (although a bit of south-east-west zigzagging is needed before you get there).this could be my confusion but initially Korin was going to go through a door heading west on the map, then we heard a dog fight from one direction and found dog bed the other way. I thought we were going to try going north but for some reason we ended up going back to the waterfront. So either I missed something or i d k what happened.

Korin "Ain't exactly sure how ya dun think we are gonna get outta this place at the waterfront Thorelf, but this be where yah wanted ta go so no we're ere and I'm lettin yah take lead."
alright DM at least it was not just me confused as to why we turned around and zigzagged out to the waterfront.
