Yeah, I was hoping to land Cap. I assumed you have to declare your hero prior to the roll.

You can apply the roll to either hero, depending on who it helps best (rule #4.)
I hope everyone has been doing that the whole game. Sometimes heroes have landed in red spaces by choice, which seemed odd to me. I assume the board wasn't examined closely enough to realize one was sending oneself into a red space?
