Treasures of the Past. It's 2e Realms, focused on the recovery of "misplaced" lore.

Nice looking game, Hoon. I like your training and leveling up post > might steal that and add it to mine. I also like how you are using weapon speed and casting modifiers in your initiative, and new initiatives every round. Seriously thinking about that...but don't want to bog anyone down.

Cleaning up some threads today, fellers. Cut, copied, and deleted posts from the Character Creation, Rules, and Realmslore threads - added some great information on training which I stole...er...copied from Hoon's game. ;)

Thanks for the compliments. Glad you liked it enough to "borrow" things. :) The game has certainly been fun.

I just use my Google-fu.

Search images for different key words... "elf scout" "elven scout" "elf thief" "elven thief" "wood elf bowman" etc. etc. Then just look for one that isn't too crappy and that kind of represents the character. In this case, the key was the white/silver hair.

Sometimes I find something right off the bat. Other times, it takes six or seven or eight keyword searches to find what I'm looking for. Or what strikes me as a good representation.

Ah, okay. I was wondering if it was a specific site, or just lots of Google Image searches. Thanks.

It takes a bit more searching, but I sometimes have good luck with Deviant Art. Might just be Deviantart.com, but just search the name if it isn't.

A lot of stuff on that site is NSFW, in case that is important...

I'll take a look. I keep getting pictures of the Power Rangers through google, which isn't exactly the look I'm going for... :)

Agree with Alethan > zillions of pics out there, just keep refining your search, and if you're searching from work, be careful about what might pop up.

Are Tarrin, Greystone and Darkstar infighting or is the line crossing over to involve us as players not getting along?

Darkstar was not happy with Tarrin's decision involving the hill giant.
Darkstar has not yet spoken to/complained to Greystone about his decision with revealing himself to the current new folks.

I hope that the infighting is just between characters and a part of us all really getting into our roleplay.

In-character? Greystone is probably still a bit unhappy with Tarrin's decision to put party members unnecessarily into danger. But he isn't one to hold grudges or take reckless actions out of spite; the decision to step out in the open in front of two strangers was based solely on the fact that his communications with the plants indicated they were friend, not foe. He attempted to relay that information to the other two with his statement about the woods knowing the woman. He understands he'll probably have to explain a bit to the others, later, though.

In a general out-of-character way, I was trying to facilitate the injection of the new player into the story line. (Welcome, Argennian!)

My sincere apologies if the OOC comment came across as something other than non-serious jesting, Hood.

I'm assuming all of you are just getting into character and speaking/acting based upon how you think your character would act in certain situations. I certainly hope it doesn't become a snarky exchange among players.
As a DM, I don't apologize for creating encounters or situations that may put you in a place to disagree with one another. That's part of working things out in the game and seeing what the outcome will be.
For the record, that hill giant encounter wasn't intended to be a threat, nor was he inherently evil. Chaotic yes, evil not so much. Still, it was interesting for me to watch how it played out...plus, really sucky dice rolls on the giant's saves helped you guys quite a bit.

Tarrin is quietly furious at Darkstar for what he sees as a betrayal by the elf during the giant battle. And the more time goes on, he's becoming less and less confident in Greystone as well. Fortunately for the group he's not the kind to go for a bloody revenge (unless it's against Zhents).

And while I'm not furious, I'm getting more and more tired of this game's lack of cohesion. This isn't a group, it's a series of individuals wandering often at cross purposes, and that gets wearying. Honestly, the only reason I haven't had Tarrin do the logical thing as say, "Heck with this, I need to get home," and leave is because I like the character and don't want to stop playing him.

Sorry that you feel that was Hoond. Personally I like how we are working together as a group but still are very much individuals with our own quirks and personalities. If traveling with the two elves is really ruining it for you maybe Tarrin should split up. I dont want to speak for Hedge but I dont think he minds that kind of fluid character decision making.
