Even tho its not my area of expertise, T'prin wants to examine the reactor, see if anything unusual jumps out at him

T'prin looks at the reactor and with your limited knowledge of reactors, you see that the numerous indicator lights and readings all seem to indicate that nothing is wrong with it. It is emitting a low level humming sound and is slightly warm. As you are looking at it, you see several Sathar come up beside you and are looking it over as well.

Professor J'Lan continues to try and communicate with several Sathar and after a few more minutes, one of the armed Sathar comes to the professor and is pointing at the vehicle they arrived in and trying to guide him to it.

[mghaught]

Daz nods to the professor. "I'm definitely at a loss for what is best. So far the Sathar seem curious and not hostile which is odd based on what I know of their race. Shall we head over to the vehicles then as they seem interested in that?"

[Teflon]

So the reactor is still running? guess whateverJ'lan was doing to shut it down failed. T'prin will remove his rifle slowly and place it in the back of one of our vehicles, then close and lock said vehicle after making sure someone has the keys to the vehicle. After this he will keep his hands where they can be seen and will wander over to the sathars vehicles. He will then motion to himself and point to the vehicle trying to get across the message and see if they want me to get inside.

T'prin, one of the armed Sathar opens the door for you and gestures for you to enter. It is hissing at you in the language you know they speak. After you get in, you notice that J'Lan is getting more agitated with the Sathar he is dealing with.

Rick will also enter an explorer, preferably one armed with a weapon. He has no plans to use it but wants to know it is available if needed.

[mghaught]

OOC: So to be clear, it appears the Sathar are trying to get us to enter their vehicles, which presumably they'll drive us someone (jail?). Rick is getting into one of our vehicles while T'prin is about to get into one of the Sathar vehicles. What are the professor and other scientists doing?

One of the science technicians hangs back a bit, as Rick walks past he mutters, “I’m not sure they can tell us apart, Rick. Maybe all humans look alike.”

He winks at Rick and steps out of Rick’s line of travel. “Who knows?”

The technician’s bearded features aren’t familiar, but the voice is.

He takes a step toward J’Lan, his left palm upward. “Ser Doctor, fear and agitation will not solve this.” He knew because he lived in a state of constant agitation himself. This had all the makings of a major First Contact screwup in the making.

[MajorTom]

Rick looks surprised to see Lloyd. "I didn't be knowing you was on this party!"

[Jaakari]

“Sure enough,” he tapped his midsection. The image did as well. The holobelt came in more than handy the last couple weeks.

The scientists appear to be trying to indicate that your party can travel on their own in their own vehicle.

Daz seems quite surprised to see Lloyd talking to the group. After giving him a warm greeting, Daz indicates for the group to pile into the explorer with the mounted weapon. She indicates we can discuss more in private and see what happens next. She'll assume the driver's position to those better with weapons to be at the ready if things go sideways.

Rick will take position at the mounted weapon but will not make any threatening moves with it.

[Jaakari]

Before Lloyd gets into the explorer, he’ll take a quick look at the reactor using his Technician skill.

When he gets in the explorer, He turns off the holo belt for a moment to show them it really is himself.

“What do you make of this place?”

(Thanks everyone, I’m sorry I had to disappear rather suddenly but that situation resolved itself. Back in action and in lithium grease stained coveralls!)

Okay, as you start piling into the explorer, you see several Sathar move to get in with you. They are unarmed and seem eager.
