Would that be an open world sandbox game or would you consider one of the early modules such as the Slave Lords series, Secrets of Saltmarsh, Cult of Reptile God, etc.

Re: What would you like to play/run? (Interest Catch-all)
Actually I was looking for answers from potential playersIf you were able to return to Greyhawk, where would you want to play?

But perhaps I would take an early module and build/expand upon it. I certainly wouldn't tackle Cult of the Reptile God because Inferno has done a fantastic job of that one.

Also, Ogre Mage did a great job on the Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh...but that one could be expanded upon. I lost one of my favorite characters in that one. Good times!
So, I'm not sure what I want to do, but I would like to return to Greyhawk for a bit.

Somewhere less well travelled. If you were able to return to Greyhawk, where would you want to play?
Hepmonaland or way up in the northeast, trekking the lands of the Snow, Ice & Frost barbarians or trying to re-establish civilization among the ruins of Spinecastle in the Bone March.

Anyone interested in some Risus?

While you're listening to a revolutionary poet spit sacrilegious rhymes, a disgraced and drunken butler inveighs you to abscond with his former patroness' monkey.

I've been doing a lot of reading and researching. I explored the history of the Bone March which is fascinating, and I have a couple of adventures for the icy lands east of the Griff Mtns. Now, I'm exploring the Shield Lands > so many opportunities for adventure there.

I'd be interested in playing in Greyhawk rather than DMing it.

I would definitely be interested in joining an early edition D&D game (Greyhawk or anything else for that matter).
Also Dungeon Crawl Classics, for what it's worth, but I think I missed the boat on the last one.

So, right now, there are six potential players for a return to Greyhawk:
Spearmint
dmw71
tarlyn
Rex
GreywolfVT

That's a pretty solid group...do you feel the cold bite of the wind off the Griff Mountains or perhaps the uneasy feel of Veng River as it winds its way between Furyondy and the Shield Lands?
Is it the smell of the ocean in Ratik that stirs your blood or is it the taste of Gnomish beer in the town of Knurl that inspires dreams of making the lands east of the Rakers free of the taint of Orcs and evil?

This one probably sounds the most intriguing to me, but I will be happy starting in any of those areas.hedgeknight wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 11:22 pm ...the uneasy feel of Veng River as it winds its way between Furyondy and the Shield Lands?

Re: What would you like to play/run? (Interest Catch-all)
I know a lot about Forgotten Realms but not a whole lot about Greyhawk,,,, I do play in a Tabletop D&D 2nd edition game Saturdays
The Night Below Box Set campaign. I'll play whichever you guys want to play, no worries.

Any of those areas sound good to me. The mountains sound kinda cool.

Re: What would you like to play/run? (Interest Catch-all)
Having far less knowledge or experience with GreyHawk like Tarlyn I know mostly Forgotten Relams pretty much the only setting I've read the most novels about and actually played in. So I am happy regardless of location of the game starting point. So long as I can play a dwarf I'm all good.

Any interest in a Risus campaign set in Uresia: Grave of Heaven?

I'll put my vote with this one as well. But I don't have strong opinions and it all sounds good to me.dmw71 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 11:34 pmThis one probably sounds the most intriguing to me, but I will be happy starting in any of those areas.hedgeknight wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 11:22 pm ...the uneasy feel of Veng River as it winds its way between Furyondy and the Shield Lands?
