Chapter Nine: Year 300, 6th Day

Makes his way to the bridge.

The Ships outer airlock door opens, admitting him to the airlock itself. As it shuts behind him, the bay's outer door shuts too. After a moment of concern, the inner door opens onto the empty crew commons.

Indrani
From the Queen: I have designated the visitor as Visitor 1 and allowed access to Passenger Spaces and Crew Commons for 24-hours.

The slow flick through the channels shows nothing and no one - other than Tiberius cycling through the lock. The Bridge windows allow sight into the bay, but the angle means there isn't much to see. Perhaps some movement in the bay entrance corridor - but no one recognisable from the glimpses. The other cameras show the bay cover is still on and there's no sign of anyone inside the bay itself.

Indrani switches to the external cameras, quickly scanning through them for anything out of place.

But, at the lift, finds that the only options are for accessing the passenger decks.

The slow flick through the channels shows nothing and no one. The other cameras show the bay cover is still on and there's still no sign of anyone inside the bay itself. It also shows that there is no sign of the security air-raft that was parked on the rim of the bay.

Miya, Assana & Nālani
Miya appears to come to a decision and starts back towards the ship when the section door between 13-11 and 13-12 suddenly starts to close. As it grinds down, Miya speeds up ands gets through before it shuts - but has to slow quickly to avoid the protestors who now seem to be heading towards the guarded door to the New Heaven Ship Bay - or up the corridor towards you. Also, Nālani notices a Vacc-Suited person appearing from the entrance to unoccupied dock 13-11 just before the shutter blocks her view.

Queen's Crew

Nālani's anxiety is getting worse as the signs point toward unfolding disaster.

With serious face but calm voice: Assana, please gather your things quickly and go to the Queen, I think things are going to be very bad soon. To the Chauffeur: Would you help the lady take her luggage to her ship for me, please?

With quiet urgency: Zid, we ought to get everyone into the ship now. I do not want to bet on this hand, I do not like how the cards are falling.

Nālani ushers everyone toward the bay airlock while looking for Miya to reach them.

No - I agree. I can't get any signal on my comms and the cart's private band transmitter isn't connecting either. That speaks of serious effort and I can't believe that this and the "Breach" are a coincidence.

She turns to her colleague: Go and see if the Port Authority Security Guard has any contact with his superiors

Miya's bike swerves its way up the corridor and pull up by the entrance.

To Zid, privately: I would not trust the security. Too easily bought. You should know there is a price on my head. The Cavalheiros tried to collect last night, and there will be others. The cameras here are looped, no help will come.

Nālani gestures urgently to Miya, urging her to hurry.

To Assana: Hurry.

Queen's Crew
Those wearing the comms earpieces (i.e. all except Tiberius, Noor and Nālani) note that they are suddenly very, very crackly.

"Check, check. Maggie do you hear me? That might of been jamming."

Pranit goes to a wall unit and tries to speak into it. Speaking loudly so those near him can hear.
"Yellow alert, Yellow alert, everyone stop what your doing, gather your weapons and report to the crew deck or the Bridge, what ever is closer.

If intercom is not working he asks Maggie, "Can you tell engineering? Get your weapon first."

He will also tell anyone along the way he sees.

Pranit heads to his state room and combat dons his vacc suit and grabs his shotgun and extra clips of ammo.

Assana grabs one of her luggage bags, and she directs the driver to a second.

O Guardian - Can you grab the small one?

Zid looks at Nālani, looks at the luggage, and moves to help. Well I didn't expect to see you here Assana. You have been quite clever at hiding. Although your timing for appearing in public seems a bit rubbish.

Miya seems in two minds on what to do next.

Down the corridor, there seem to be sparks coming from various points about the edges of the emergency pressure door.

And half-a-dozen protestors seem to be heading for the bay entrance, one is even still clutching a placard. At the entrance to berth 13-12, the Port Guard seems to be lying on the ground and the protest group seems to be entering. Zid's assistant seems to be running towards the guard.

Inside
Pranit's message reverberates around the ship.

As the lift doors open, Pranit is faced by an unexpected person occupying the lift - but he recognises Tiberius from the Shareholder's meeting just before he tried thumping him - a complication that he probably wouldn't have needed!

Maggie is close behind. Three in the lift is a bit tight!

Reven is caught in the workshop as the message rolls round the room.

Arnwulf leaves the luggage and heads for the lift...but it isn't coming!

Indrani and Noor can still see nothing of interest from cameras, although the windows looking into the bay now reveal at least one unrecognisable person moving near the bay entrance, dragging a large box on a trolley.

Knows his presence has been acknowledged but remains bemused by the reception. The lift opens and others barge in before he can step out.

"Are we going up or down?" he asks, wondering which button to press.

Leaning out of cover Nālani calls to the little group of protesters Ulrika! This way, now. Run!

Gets the warning of some unknown danger and a call to arms from Pranit. I think all the rifles we received are stored in the lockbox room, is that in crew or bridge level?

He attends the rally point as requested.

Neural Comms Write-up. And yes...it sounds like a loud waterfall. Even the commercial channels are indistinct.

The group in the lift rise to the crew deck and exit the contraption - and the lift heads off to collect Arnwulf.

Inspector Umale starts to usher Assana, the Limo Driver and Miya with Assana's luggage and the Delivery Driver with his pallet of hull-plate to the bay lift.

Ulrika is not the lead person in the protestor group, but she breaks into a run on Nālani's urging - only for the policeman who was in the cart to slow the advance by authoritatively stating Walk don't run - We don't want an accident!. Nālani has a quick flashback to being ordered about by Prefects at school! Well don't block the doorway, let them through

A quick glance down the corridor shows that the sparks seem to have stopped, and the cherry-glows on the section door seem to be cooling. The "Cutting" seems to have stopped.

Reven Stiilpahth hads over to the wall comm panel. "XO, Bridge, I'm in the workshop. Don't think i'll make it up there anytime soon." Reven heads over to see if any of the laser torches or other tools will work as an improvised weapon.
