You've not been encouraged to go up there (and therefore have).

All exits are "off limits" but likely give roof access via lifts (a given) and access to the Baron's quarters and/or the "penthouse" where the Mertactor lauch is berthed (Freya can actually confirm this).

There is also a length of red rope, hooked between two stands across the top of the waterslide.

She spoke to him on her "dodgey" phone - apparently Urvash Gudrun.

A name that keeps cropping up...

She didn’t “meet” him, it was a voice on a ‘phone using a generic code name common to all Ine Givar in a certain role.

Which means there are dedicated Ine Givar elements, which this squad in the garden is probably the rearguard of.

The defence in the swimming pool room is "big picture" placed at a "T" junction. It is sandwiched between and has access from both Guard and merc quarters and with active merc units below/south. It is also vulnerable to a vertical envelopment (Prerna having already achieved that by accessing the floor above).

I'm very much appreciating the amount of thought going into this and do hope it's enjoyable...

As a completely left field obscure clue / no help whatsoever this is District 268 and therefore assuming that there are simply two "sides" in play here would be a most sweeping assumption.

I hope this helps to form a plan:

I went back over the IC thread and could only find 2 targets, but Perna/Joe says 3, where is the one I missed? (ignore Erica for now)

So, there may be another enemy I've missed, but ignoring that for now this would indicate an entry from the west to take out the left enemy, and from the top right would get us close to the right hand one, particular if we distract it with something going on in the bottom right doorway.

Thoughts? Particularly on any missing enemies?

The red enemy can be sniped from the doorway to SW

The green enemy cant cover 3 doors at once and demonstration at the south entrances leaves the NE entrance uncovered

Both are vulnerable to fire from above too

And the guard barracks doors are vulnerabilities too.

Red enemy is trapped...that one has nowhere to retire to

Green enemy has no hard cover. Suppressive fire should work.

I've just updated the map in my post above as I'd given red too much visibility, not that it makes much difference I think.

BT, all viable options, but remember there is an escape route via the waterfall.

We could have some one at each southern entrance lob a smoke grenade to attract their attention, while we have squads enter/attack by the NW and NE doors.

We don't have a SAW.

The Spa can be shot at from cover too.

It depends on how much cover the tree and other spa provides, I've assumed major. Need Tig to confirm. It might be partial as Kit could see from the door, in which case I'll update the map as it does make a big difference to how exposed the SW door and Prerna are.

IIRC the Baron made an appearance on the upper level. That suggests access up, and likely some other apartments or whatever. The battle space is multidimensional and tactics need to be processed with that in mind. More difficult, but if the enemy are spies, and not military trained, then they may not think of the different levels as a part of the tactical challenge.

Good point, which has been mentioned before.

We could send both NE and NW teams to the balcony floor, a grenade will take out the red guy.

Thinking out it the green guy might be easier to take out on the ground floor. The trees might give more cover from the balcony.

The green guy has no visibility of the NW door, on either floor so I think that's a goer.

Waiting to hear about Jakob's injuries to determine the teams.

For leaders, Prerna is already in there, that leaves Frank as Jess is injured.

Kit is an option if Jakob is unavailable, with Sgt Dawson helping as SEMC liason. They're both ex marine so will get on well.

If Jakob is available then he could do the left team grenade, Frank could do the more subtle right hand work.

Not currently thinking about what troopers we have left for the teams. We are quite short staffed. Maybe Jess and Gaughan could lob the grenades for us, and we divvy up the rest.

We sort of have a SAW Each squad has a Gauss Rifle, which is designed for full-auto. We bought it to fill the LMG role.

While lobbing grenades seems a good role for the wounded NCOs I note that Jess has broken ribs and Gaughan has poorly sealed sword cuts to the chest. Rolling more than throwing, eh? :D ;)

My impression of things is that the Ine Givar are not all “spies”, the majority are “terrorists”, that’s their utility. Spies find opportunities, other agents raise and train local malcontents to exploit them. The guys in the garden might not be special forces but likely they are trained for basic assault operations and are politically motivated - which means good morale.

I used to think of the Ine Givar as rather like the IRA only controlled by the USSR, now I think of them as more like those useful Jihadis that keep cropping up each of the MENA insurgencies.

Of course, that’s MTU. This is TTU, and things will likely be different.

The smoke grenades are just a distraction, so rolled a few squares to make it look like we are settling up cover for an attack is just what we want.

I don't know how many wounded are in sickbay, and who could be brought back to the line. If Jess and Gaughan can take over sickbay and build the fall back position Jakob could run to his room, get into combat armor, and get into the fight. He does have a goodly supply of grenades. :)

The reason Frank is asking Liv for an assessment of Jakob's status is the Frank knows Jakob would run into battle even if both his arms were hanging off! :)
