Chapter Two: The Second Day
Re: Chapter One: Arrival
Thir swats at the pesky thing with his hammer:
Initiative: [1d10] = 2
Warhammer: to-hit [1d20] = 13, dmg [1d4+1] = 2+1 = 3

Aelfred
Aelfred gets a dagger out in case the stirge needs to be removed from Thir. Holding his staff ready in case it flies out and he can take a swipe at it.
He will give the scroll to Jardin since he can read it, but keep the case and the map.

Now that he has a map, he will start updating it when we take breaks.

Re: Chapter One: Arrival
Zamboni jolts as if rousing from a daze, then quickly considers his options. He's already used his sleep spell, and while it might be amusing to have a charmed blood-sucking bird-thing following him as a pet, it doesn't seem the best use of a spell. Probably wouldn't work anyway; the spell has a really picky definition of "person."
So Zamboni falls back to his default position—literally. He draws his sword and slinks back in search of somewhere to hide.
For game mechanics, please consider this an attempt to hide in shadows to set up a sneak attack next round if possible.

Re: Chapter One: Arrival
Bingo slices at the flying danger, cutting it greatly but not enough to end it's existence. It flies directly at the halfling only to glance off Bingo's shield. Thir brings his warhammer to bear on the creature, swatting it down to the floor where it weakly takes flight once again.
Stirge Attack: [1d20] = 14 Damage: [1d3] = 3
As no one else has entered combat, we go to the top of the order. Bingo's turn.

Thir Rockshadow (S/P3 AC: 3 HP: 22/14)
Bingo Smallburrow (F3 AC: 1 HP: 30)
Jardin Allisima (F2/C2 AC: 5 HP: 14/13)
Aelfred (B4 AC: 4 HP: 16)
Stirge -8hp

Re: Chapter One: Arrival
As the Stirge attempts to fly towards him, Bingo slices the creature in half, ending it's threat.

What is your next move?
Re: Chapter One: Arrival
Could we get an updated map?
Re: Chapter One: Arrival
As the map you found does not show anything except halls and rooms, I have updated the map for that bare minimum.
I need to figure out how to put the grid back in but at least the map is updated to represent all that you found in the other map.

Bingo leads the way down the most SE passage.

Re: Chapter One: Arrival
The map in the previous post has been updated to include some missed parts from the map you found. Also, the X indicates your current location in case you want to go elsewhere. You will need to tell me your route if you still want to go SE.

Re: Chapter One: Arrival
Sorry for the quick edit on the map. It was easier this way, I will edit as you move along.
You proceed down the hall, heading to the stairs as marked on the map when you encounter a door stopping the flow of the otherwise empty hall.

Re: Chapter One: Arrival
"That's new?" asks Zamboni. "Do you think it is an illusion?"
Regardless of the answer, he pauses to listen for anything beyond the door, then tosses a copper piece at it from about 15' away. Assuming the coin bounces off the door as would be expected, he checks the floor for traps before stepping forward to inspect the door itself.
