Maag
Maag readies his crossbow and picks out a target in the sunlight. Shootin' someone dat can't see it comin'. Dat is my kind of fight, he muses to himself.

Re: Quest #21 "Island Hopping"
Alordan urges someone to call out and see if they are friendly, "let's give 'em the benefit of the doubt". He notices the altar and can't remember if there is a bull something on there. He'll have to check it out.
Re: Quest #21 "Island Hopping"
The cleric takes the sack with the head from Saracen. She carefully pulls the head out of the sack, holding it so that the eyes are facing away from her (towards the ground). If the thing causing the noise in the brush is indeed a minotaur or some other threat she will face the head towards the threat, feeling with her fingers to make sure the eyes of head are open and their gaze is directed at the foe.
this is disgusting...hope it works

Maag
After listening to Alordan's suggestion and considering their current state, Maag reluctantly lowers his crossbow. He's about to bellow a non-hostile greeting at the humanoids when he sees Lerrick deposit the head.
Maag frowns, then shrugs and raises his crossbow again. Ah, dey probably weren't friendly anyway.

Re: Quest #21 "Island Hopping"
Downtrodden Departure
Freeday, 19th of Goodmonth
Approaching Midday, Sunny, Hot, Humid
Saracen shakes his head as Lerrick walks past him pulling the severed head from her bloody sack. “Feeding time?”
Gramble and Carucenus move closer to the opening while Tlachtga keeps her dog in check. Alordan suggests calling out to them, in case they are friendly, but deep down inside, the ranger knows that is not likely. Maag takes up a position to shoot at the little monsters, but holds his fire when Lerrick suddenly steps outside the cave with her head held high.
One kobold from each pair sees the cleric blatantly walk out into the clearing holding the rock monsters head and lifting its squishy eyelids with her fingers. The pair by the entrance look around for a moment before bolting back out of the ring of standing stones. The pair by the altar need to pass directly by the head wielding priestess to make their escape. One of them shrieks loudly, surprised by the sudden appearance of such a strange sight. Both of them slowly move away from Lerrick as they try to skirt the inside of the wall of stones, keeping their distance as best they can manage.
While fleeing, they stare directly at the head and at Lerrick with a look on their little doglike faces that can only be described as disgusted curiosity. They say nothing, but continue moving towards the exit. The gaze doesn’t seem to have any affect on them, but anyone watching closely notices two strange things about these monsters. First of all, they don’t seem to be affected by bright sunlight, like those of their kin. Secondly, they all appear to be wet for some reason.

Alordan isn't sure what's going on with the kobold things but thier wetness is interesting. He looks for any wet tracks on the cave floor. He wonders if there is indeed more to those wells back in the caves...

Carucenus advances to the front line, trying to protect their marksman from a possible charge, although he suspects this won't be the case: "Keep firing and don't pursue! I'm sure these little fuckers want to ambush us in their own territory."

Lerrick
Still holding the head of Brutus. Well...that didn't work. The cleric puts the head back in the sack and tosses it to the side and equips her mace, looking for a foe to bash.

Re: Quest #21 "Island Hopping"
Downtrodden Departure
Freeday, 19th of Goodmonth
Approaching Midday, Sunny, Hot, Humid
The pair of jungle kobolds begin running towards the exit when they see Gramble and Cu rushing towards them from out of the cave. The jerky, slow moving duo is no match for a charging mastiff, and Cu leaps at the lead creature, knocking it to the ground near the opening in the ring of stones.
Maag makes a comment about their former beloved paladin and his unusual penchant for rushing into things, now nothing more than a stone statue left behind in the heart of this stone labyrinth. The brutish thug’s bolt crashes against the rock wall harmlessly.
Lerrick sticks the severed head back in her sack and tosses it aside before readying her weapon. Tlachtga and Carucenus also prepare for conflict, the fighter warning his charging friends of a possible ambush. With a heavy sigh, Saracen lugs the unconscious body of Andron outside with him, looking up at the empty ambush site over the cave mouth for possible trouble. “At least there isn’t another minotaur to deal with, yet.”
Gramble swings his mighty ax at the small target he intercepts and chops the creature in half at the torso. It gurgles for a moment before both halves slump to the ground dead. The remaining kobold shrieks again while trying to fend off the huge dog and still flee the area. Gramble can see the other pair sprinting through the foliage outside towards the north shore of the island.
Alordan is perplexed by the sight of the wet kobolds suddenly showing up here, so he searches the cave floor of the entrance chamber and its adjoining tunnels, finding no trace of moisture or wet footprints of any kind.
