Maag

Maag bounds across the top of the rocks until he reaches the blindside of the Minotaur. He reverses his grip on 'arry the Bastards sword, and leaps down in a giant stabbing motion.

'arry the Bastard Sword (THACO 18) [1d20] = 9 Dmg S/M [2d4+5] = 4+5 = 9 Dmg L [2d8+5] = 8+5 = 13

+2 for Faerie Fire, +4 for backstab, x2 damage for backstab

Back To The Cave
Moonday, 15th of Goodmonth
Early Morning, Rainy, Misty, Humid

With his ankle tingling slightly, Maag hustles over the uneven tops of the stone ring, getting himself into position for more heroics, just like last time, but unfortunately not in time to attack with the others. (I will use your current roll for next rounds attack)

Tlachtga moves the maximum 10 feet distance to where she can still cast a spell and begins calling for unseen glowing faeries to outline the monster with a dim light, making it easier for the others to target. Andron checks over the unmoving cleric at the base of the tree, calling on the power of Rao to heal her, just in case there are internal injuries that he cant see. Lerrick feels a bit better for the effort, but is still unable to move. (Can I get a Hard [4d6] Wisdom check from Andron with your next post, please?)

This crazed enemy doesn't seem concerned with self preservation in the least, goring and hacking at anything in its sights. It switches up its tactics this time, goring at Alordan and chopping at Gramble, but neither attack lands successfully. Gramble retaliates with a horrendous chop of his own ax, gouging another huge chunk of flesh from the fabled monster. Then Saracen calls down a beam of holy sunlight through the grey clouds upon the beast that burns fur and flesh. Howling loudly, the pain from the injuries doesn't seem to suppress its anger and hatred much.

The druids excited dog gets tangled in the legs of Crestbrook and Alordan, preventing each of their attacks from landing successfully. The battered Minotaur appears badly injured anyway, though it continues its attack with the same fervor.

Alordan continues to clearly have difficulty in this fight - second thoughts? should he have used his net? or the screeching from the passionate paladin?... either way, it's going to be another long day....

Long Sword Damage(+1 str/+1 weapon) = S/M: [1d8+2] = 7+2 = 9 / L: [1d12+2] = 4+2 = 6

Tlachtga

Tlachtga glances back at Lerrick and Andron to make sure they are safe and holds her position in case she is needed to aid them.

Cu tries to bite the Minotaur.

Cu bite w/FF bonus [1d20+2] = 19+2 = 21 to hit [2d4] = 8 damage

Saracen will charge back into the frey if he can, swinging his longsword at the bullman as he runs in.

[1d20+3] = 8+3 = 11 : [1d8+4] = 1+4 = 5 : [1d12+4] = 5+4 = 9

not including +2 from faerie fire or the +2 for the charge to the to hit number.

Andronichishche attempts to assess Lerrick's health after applying the healing spell, uncertain how injured she still is and whether her condition will deteriorate. Focusing on filtering out the howls of rage from the enraged minotaur and the clash of steel against steel and horn, he checks for the strength of Lerrick's vital signs and examines her pupils for dilation.

The look of hatred in the bull mans huge black eyes is obvious as it continues it’s berserk chopping motions, grazing Gramble for a second time. 4 dam That attack is the last thing the minotaur ever does in its short existence once the fighter, the acrobatic half-orc, and the dog Cu all retaliate with pinpoint aggression. The huge beast soon lays dead on the blood soaked ground at the fighters feet.

Andron peers into the unmoving eyes of Lerrick, which suddenly open a bit wider as she stares intently just beyond the young priests head. Her lips start to move as well, as if she is trying to warn him of something dangerous. That’s when Andron, who was formerly trying to block out the noise of the battle so he could concentrate, begins hearing a slight hissing noise coming from above his head.

When Tlachtga looks over to check on the 2 clergy, she sees a long green snake dropping from a tree branch above where the cleric fell. It appears about to strike out at Andronks neck.

Andronichishche, concentrating intently on Lerrick's condition, barely registers the almost inaudible 'SSSSsssssssss' emanating from behind his head. The still paralyzed cleric's widening eyes and muted words confirmed the imminent danger. Andron, calculating numerous variables and strategies in the blink of an eye, galvanized by instinct, grasps the holy symbol of Rao hanging loosely from his neck and invokes a Sanctuary spell.

If the spell is successful and he still has time in the round he'll attempt to drag Lerrick towards the stone circle.

Tlachtga

Casts Speak with Animals on the Snake. "SHSH SH..."
"If you bite either of them you WILL die, leave them alone and return to your perch and we shall leave you alone. Do you agree?"
As she talks to the snake she readies her scimitar and slowly moves closer to strike if she must.

Alordan nods at the suggestion, "good idea" He'll search the downed minotaur then the clearing for any sign of his old net before proceeding further.

Alordan finds nothing of interest on the dead body of the minotaur, just like the last one they killed. He looks around for the thick cargo net he left near the cave opening, but it is nowhere to be found. When he searches the area where he left it, he finds drag marks in the dirt that indicate it was pulled inside the cave. Gramble suggests trapping the dais in some way.

The hissing noise above Andron causes him to reach for his holy symbol as he also touches the mirror lent to him ever so recently. With a few quick phrases to Rao, the priest feels as though he has entered a safe place, allowing him a second to look up at the confused snake about to coil around his head and neck.

Once Tlachtga gets involved with her natural majiks, the long green snake begins to recoil, leaving the half-elf be and slinking back up into its tree branch as instructed by the druid. “Yessssss. Leave usssssss alone. Ssssshouldnt be climbing where you don’t belongsssssss. Very dangeroussssss!”

Lerrick watches it all from her prone position on the ground, realizing that Andron has just saved her from a horrible fate. Her paralysis is slowly wearing off now, allowing her minor speech and movement again.

Andronichishche quickly peers over his shoulder once the Sanctuary spell takes effect, and is alarmed but relieved to see a rather sedate looking large green snake just above his head. Blessed be to Rao. Before he can effect his plan of dragging Lerrick towards the stone lintel, he hears Tlachtga's odd hissing noises and the snake's apparent response, as the latter slowly climbs back into the tree canopy.

"Thank you, Miss Tlachtga, I'm not accustomed to treating patients in battle, my spell was not guaranteed to succeed. It would also appear your diagnosis was correct, but the paralysis is subsiding now and her condition is otherwise stable."

Andronichishche will stay by Lerrick until she is able to move again, watching the trees carefully for any further surprises. Afterward he will retrieve the bamboo pole he dropped and join the others at the cave entrance.

"Alordan, if I recall correctly another minotaur ambushed you in likewise fashion the first time here? Perhaps we're dealing with the same minotaur, somehow revived?"

Sir Crestbrook the Mighty

Nicely done everyone! Nicely done. We got the job done. The paladin stands in a majestic practiced pose next to the slain beast.

Lerrick

Thank you for watching over me Andron. I should be more careful. She then closes her eyes and mumbles a prayer. As she finishes warm soothing healing flows through her body

CLW on self: heals for [1d8] = 8 hp
