Character Creation Thread
Re: Character Creation Thread
Interesting quirk about B/X vs. LL: While most plate and chain armor is cheaper in B/X than it is in LL (Chain: 40 vs 70, Plate: 60 vs. 450), leather is more expensive (20 vs. 6).
Re: Character Creation Thread
That is an odd one for sure. I am willing to pitch in some coin if need be. I have 13gp left.

Re: Character Creation Thread
Good idea. For a more balanced party i could be a more squishy fighter or dwarf.Rusty Tincanne wrote:We all might-could pitch in some coin to your character, GW. Play it like they are dues to a thieves' guild we all belong to.
Just a thought.
If folks wanted to play a more balanced party, I'd take a dim-witted mage.
Zhym that is interesting leather costs more in B/X but less in LL everything else armor wise is more in LL go figure.

Re: Character Creation Thread
Seeing that we’re just about all thieves, are you imposing any restrictions on alignment?
Re: Character Creation Thread
B/X alignments are on the single dimension of Lawful, Neutral, or Chaotic. Any of those is fine. Just keep in mind that "Chaotic" doesn't mean "Evil" and I'm not really intersted in having PCs who act as if they're evil.
Re: Character Creation Thread
I little better. I guess I'll go with a Cleric
Stats: CHR:8, WIS:13, INT:10, DEX:9, CON:11, STR:11
Money: [3d6x10] = 5x10 = 50
Hit Points: [1d6] = 2
I may just murder this character in the cradle, it would be a mercy as it won't last very long.

Re: Character Creation Thread
I find original and basic to be the most forgiving of bad scores. HP being the most important roll of all. The minimum HP that those 2 PC have is the biggest issue with them by far.
Re: Character Creation Thread
Fortunately, it doesn't take long to roll up new PCs.

Re: Character Creation Thread
Anyone have strong feelings about a magic user vs another halfling? My preference is the latter, but I would play a MU if that's what we need. (One of the dumber magic users in the land.)

Re: Character Creation Thread
My vote would be for Halflings and Thieves (+ Cleric?) too. Who needs balance? A wacky unbalanced party sounds like way more fun!

Re: Character Creation Thread
Hey Zhym, thanks for letting me in...First time using the dice roller was...unforgiving.
STR: 10 ()
INT: 9 ()
WIS: 6 ()
DEX: 4 ()
CON:10 ()
CHR: 7 ()
As much as I hate to do so...can I petition for a re-roll?
Looking forward to this. Since i'm getting in a little later than everybody else, what is your time frame for getting this going?

Re: Character Creation Thread
Yes, feel free to take a mulligan on that.
People sure have gotten some crummy rolls.
I'm flexible on when we get started. Maybe later this week, if everyone is ready by then?
