Yes, from my job... And I got lucky. Well, I did make one or 2 good choices along the way (After a VERY long list of bad choices), but luck of the dice always plays a significant part, whether or not folks choose to believe it. As for "old," well, my kids think so. Grandkids, too. I turned 56 last Tuesday, my youngest turned 19 also yesterday, my oldest 33 last month. So one could claim "Upper-Echelon Middle-Age," rather than "old."

And Happy Birthday, Bluehorse!

Awesome!

"Upper-Echelon Middle-Aged" it is. :D

And I know all about bad choices. :?

I would love to retire myself, but I am about 7 or 8 years behind you, so......

And a Happy belated Birthday to you, as well.

Now you'll have time to start up another game on here.

You're retired- I'm jealous!

I've made a buttload of bad choices over the years. (TL/DR) I'm 57, and probl'y won't be able to retire for another 10 or so. Good for you!

And Have a Happy to BH!!!

Happy Retirement!

Happy Birthday!

I was "retired" by being sole caregiver to my late husband  , also a RPG player. He knew some of the original gaming/science fiction folks in the 1970s through the SCA. He introduced me to AD&D and Traveller.

(Full disclosure: I am 59, my husband was 61 when he died in 2008.)

Happy birthday/ retirement to the appropriate parties!
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Chauncey regards Monocar blankly for a moment, blinks once, then replies: ”No,” he says.
