Re: OOC Chat
So what's Calmert's split? I need to know (plus Zhym's question about converting loots) so I can pay proper tribute to his church, and then see about spending some on needed supplies.

Right! Thank you - I forgot your bulleted list.Zhym wrote:Zhym wrote:Calmert: Scroll w/ cleric spells (3,600), Ring of Fire Resistance (5,000), Gold fire symbol on fine gold chain w/ ruby (2500), Mace w/ small ruby in pommel (1000), Jeweled ring (500), 5 Zircons (50 each), 42 pp, 367 gp, 12 ep, 65 sp, 78 cp

EDIT:connivingsumo wrote:Calmert rolled a 1 on his last HP roll back on 11/27 I think it was. Here's the new one.
[1d6] = 5
I hope to have Calmert updated by this weekend!
I forgot we're using the Advanced HD option, so Clerics get d8, not d6. Here's the new roll:
[1d8] = 7
Also, Calmert's character sheet should be all updated for level 4.
Re: OOC Chat
Is there any possibility to buy silver headed arrows in the village? If yes how much would it cost?
Re: OOC Chat
They are 2 gold pieces apiece and the silversmith currently has 20 in stock. He and the fletcher can probably make up to a hundred more by the next time you return, given their current business demands.kwll wrote:Is there any possibility to buy silver headed arrows in the village? Are we ready to get rolling again?
Re: OOC Chat
Yes! Time to kill evil and take its money.

Re: OOC Chat
Happy birthday. How has it been having your birthday so close to Christmas all these years?
Re: OOC Chat
This is another "I should probably keep my mouth closed" question, but a potion of invisibility is 300 gp and oil of etherealness, which makes the user invisible and allows him to pass through walls, is 100 gp? IS the price difference because the potion of invisibility lasts indefinitely?
Re: OOC Chat
To make a potion of invisibility, you need among other things the sigh of a yellow Will-o-Whisp, which is quite difficult to find. Oil of etherealness requires the reflection of a ghost, which is much more common in Greyhawk as the castle is haunted. Simple economics, really.
Re: OOC Chat
Well, that's the cost side. The demand side is sort of messed up by having a cheaper alternative. No one would make invisibility potions because no one would buy them.
Am I right about duration, though? Invisibility from drinking a full potion lasts until the person attacks? And does the invisibility potion still allow 1/8 sips for limited duration invisibility?

Re: OOC Chat
Invisibility typically lasts until combat actions. The invisibility bottles are quite small so you'd probably get maybe 3 sips rather than the typical eight, you'd wager.
I'd say, buy the Oil and let Thurwin overpay for the Invisibility potions.

You get used to people saying "This is both a birthday and a Christmas present"kwll wrote:Happy birthday. How has it been having your birthday so close to Christmas all these years?

Happy to oblige! I've got extra coin, and I can see this being useful, so I'll share them with the group as needed.
