Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
The door does not yield to any lockpicking or forced prying open tactics. A computer terminal is nearby but looks to be encrypted.

Seven will also take a crack at the terminal once Zeke is done. [1d20] = 16

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
The hack succeeded and reveals that the terminal had a simple function, controlling the locking mechanisms on the security room to the right and the elevator at the end of the hall. Unlocking the security room, you enter and find the place in a messy state. Chairs turned over, papers and various table knickknacks tossed to the ground, someone was looking for something. Sitting at the main surveillance station in the room is a skeleton in vault-tec security guard outfit. Slumped over the table and various keyboards, you notice it is holding on to something small.
Looking around the room, you also find a small set of lockers. A diagram is nearby showing how to put on Hazmat suits, and inside the lockers are the suits mentioned.

Seven heads over to the lockers to search them. [1d20] = 8

Zeke turns on the surveillance cameras and looks to see what is going on below in the Vault.
He also removes a small piece of paper from the skeleton's bony hand. On it is written a set of numbers.
I bet this is a door code. I wonder which door down below it opens.

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Sorry for the delay. A couple of those days from my last post were dedicated to sleep, and the others were focused on other games.
The lockers contain old hazmat suits, but only one is in good condition to wear. The other lockers have extra vault suits bearing the vault's number designation.
The security footage shows many rooms that look like something out of a medical facility or mad scientists lab. Many windows are shattered inside and splatter can be found all over the place. You can't tell what kind due to the videos being black and white, but you do see a few bodies slumped over in various positions. Throughout most of the video feeds, a flashing a light can be seen from an adjacent corridor.

Zeke looks more closely at the images to see if the bodies are skeletal or died more recently.

You can't tell from the angles of the camera feeds. All the bodies seem to be in protective hazmat suits of some sort.

Seven "Well I certainly wont be wearin' one of them suits anytime soon, doesn't appear to have done them any good." he says to Zeke.

Zeke says, If we don't feel comfortable going down there in suits, then we ought to just leave, right?
Zeke examines the system in front of him to see if there's anything that monitors the atmosphere in the Vault, that could give them an idea of whether or not a hazmat suit is still required.

Seven "I'm guessin either the radiation levels are so high that the suits didn't help em, that or somethin else killed em down there."

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
The radiation levels shown on the security monitors indicate that the below levels are safe to traverse, certain rooms, however, are flagged with a warning sign.

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Seven tries to see what the warning is. "Eh hell that there can't be a good thing." he indicates the warning sign "Oh hell how do we read what the warning is again Zeke?"

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Zeke says, Let's just mark the rooms with the warning signs on our map. When we get there, one of us can put on the hazmat suit and the other stays outside. Are you game to head down?
If Seven is willing to try it, Zeke tries one more hack. He tries to access the Vault's security systems from here and prevent them from attacking him or Seven.

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
The vault security systems menu shows options to turn off and on the atmospheric cleansing fans, and an option to manually open and close/lock doors within the subterranean levels of the facility. You do not see anything listed on automated turrets.
Lost track of my days, sorry about that.

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Zeke fires up the fans and watches the results on the monitors. He's looking to see A. any evidence that the fans are doing anything and B. if anyone/anything responds to the fans turning on.
Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
The fans start to do their work. The exclamation points found on the computer screen start to fade one by one as the air cycles and cleans the rooms. As this happens, you start to see the figures slouched in various positions move, twitch, pick themselves back up. The movement is erratic though, ghoulish. The figures in the hazmat suits do not move.
