Sorry guys been out of the loop for a few days. I am a grandpa to 7lb baby girl. I will change my character if needed as I was the last one to post my thief on the character thread. Just let me know.

Congratulations Dram!
Ed, I'm fully aware of what can happen...and has happened to some of your characters. Happens to me too- Ogre Mage blasted my monk with the called in lightning, blowing him to little carbonized chunks. I was just joking that there was no mention of the possibility of character death when signing up. It's first edition AD&D- if death isn't lurking around every corner, something doesn't seem right.

Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

that appears to be true of most all old school editions and I wouldn't have it any other way Scott.Scott308 wrote:Congratulations Dram!

What OM did to me was a cursed ring from our friend the priest there... danced me to death in a tower of gnolls

I would have been happy to play a cleric but when I rolled my character we were lacking muscle and may still be.

also Congrats Dram same thing as what I said in one of the other forums Grampy Dram
FYI this is what I could convert my character to so we have another cleric. A Dwarf Cleric. sheet was deleted since i didn't meet the correct requisites

I know, but remember those modules were nasty. Those TSR guys weren't happy if PCs weren't dying. A cursed ring isn't too surprising. I played in a game at Gary Con a couple years ago, and among the other players were Peter Adkinson, who owns Gen Con, and Luke Gygax. One of the other players, a kid in his early 20s, had a character who found a necklace. He told the DM the character was going to put on the necklace- at which point everyone else, all of us Old School players, groaned. Of course, the necklace was cursed and strangled the character, killing him. Someone told him, never put on the jewelry 'til you can determine what exactly it is.GreyWolfVT wrote:What OM did to me was a cursed ring from our friend the priest there... danced me to death in a tower of gnolls

See i know about that one I've used that same necklace in adventures/games before and funny none of my friends ever put the darned thing on. But yes I know what you mean.Scott308 wrote:I know, but remember those modules were nasty. Those TSR guys weren't happy if PCs weren't dying. A cursed ring isn't too surprising. Thank You everyone. Spearmint do you need me to change my character class?

Re: OOC: chat and questions, discussions and actions:
Dwarven clerics only exist as non-player characters so for now that switch is out.
I was waiting upon Urson to complete his character sheet. ideally the party need at least one of every class so the dice will favour a mage of sorts but I will fit the adventure to suit if you play a bunch of rogues and fighters without any problem.
If you wanted to swap classes Dram you could as we have not begun yet. (sorry for delay, waiting on folk and horse racing). Will make a start with or without others shortly and go with what we have
cue evil DM laughter ...mwuhahahahahahaha ...

Re: OOC: chat and questions, discussions and actions:
ok what if i made that a gnome not a dwarf then because we clearly have too many thieves? It's that or I'll just have to make a human mage.

Re: OOC: chat and questions, discussions and actions:
The only races eligible for a cleric character per the PHB are human, half-elf, and half-orc.

I did replace Nimble's sheet in the character sheets with Drake (Drago) Montillo the Human Magic User (Mage)

Re: OOC: chat and questions, discussions and actions:
I have a Paladin Lvl 4/ Cleric Lvl 5 Dual class Human in the works if that helps out. Just working out the details with the DM. This should give the party another Cleric as that is his class going forward. Pending.
