Swords and Planets game using Warriors of the Red Planet

Checking for interest in a game on a Mars like world with warring races, cthonian rites, super science, dark sorceries, robots, airships, and psionics borrowed from a to be determined source.

Strange colored man-like races abound, earthlings however, do not even exist in this part of space/time.

Would like to borrow the stress system from Darkest Dungeon where folks can lose it but not simply go insane.

Undo stress can make characters abusive. paranoid, frightened, fatalistic, sinister/dark or maybe bring out an inner strength such as being virtuous, focused, or bold.

That mechanic is up in the air.

So think John Carter, Athas, Carcosa, Cthulhu, Humanspace Tekumel, Talislanta, Warlord and Arion the comic books. Oh and a wee bit of Monster Hunter.

Any interest or do I shelve it?

I hadn't checked these threads in awhile, and missed this entirely. Should there be a sudden up-welling of interest, I would be on-board. I haven't played Warriors of the Red Planet, but have been curious about it.

Perhaps you could talk a bit about the system, for people who aren't familiar with it?

A fairly standard Swords and Wizardry houserule game. Hps, Ac, HD, ascending or descending or Thac0 system to hit, 4 classes

Fighting man
d10
hp +1 to hit per level
an additional +1 to hit and damage wirh melee or ranged weapons at start
and a keep attacking feature if you drop a foe.

Scoundrels
d8hp
attack bonus not far off from fighting man which maxes at +7 at lvl 10 -- fighting man is +10 at 10.
Scoundrels can backstab and have thief skills - pilfer pick lock sneak disarm distract bluff - which is on a d20 with dex mod beat the TN assigned.

Mentalist are like MUs
d6 hps
psi powers per day in a vancian system.
They can use any weapon but light armor.

Scientists use devices, called gadgets, like spells which can be recharged daily. Higher level devices hold more charges. Scientists get 1 new gadget per level.

There is a sorcerer class which casts elder god magics with a DCC like corruption mechanic.

The rest is standard D&D with a Barsoom/ John Carter flavor.

Races are Barsoomian in flavor red white black green men with un living, ancients and elevated beast men races adeed.

It also comes with airship vs airship combat rules.

I find it ripe to houserule my own swords and iridium rifles campaign world.
