To be honest, I think you are both doing a great job. I've noted down RP awards for each of you at several points during your expedition.
Foxy is headstrong in her pursuit of Good and notably Chaotic in her personal interactions as she does so. Her decisions are clear and consistent in this regard. You chose to pick up a devout belief for pure roleplay purposes and it has added significantly to the scenes and your own character depth, which is awesome.
Clay chose his own deliberately-conflicted role and has been doing well with it as well. He roleplayed through questioning, agonizing, and deciding about helping the farmers at all, about acting against the goblins, and handling the friction between the two PCs personalities.
I've enjoyed watching you both. Both of you have (perhaps even naturally and unconsciously, which is the best praise) picked up on the key beliefs and points of the other and made sure to recognize and challenge each other through your own RP.
That's my hope - I want a strong player compact. That means I want you to
enjoy as players when your characters conflict or work together IC. We're all here having fun. If you're not having fun then something is wrong.
That said, nobody likes waiting while their PC is on the verge of death.

I understand the angst. I'll move your scenes ahead by tonight.
