Hello Admins and fellow forum trolls! New to these forums but longtime lover of all things roleplay and I have had some extensive experience in the past running or playing on forums on other sites.

Looking forward to get to know all of you. Please keep on the lookout I may be starting a brand spanking new DCC game for a little pbp action.

Welcome, AQ!

(I'll refrain from calling you Aquaman. My wife said to me once, "You're my hero! You're my Aquaman!" because of something I did with plumbing at her apartment when we were just dating. I was like, "Wait... I'm you're hero, but I'm THE MOST USELESS hero there is? All he could do is call a couple of fish and some shrimp! Which is, I suppose, not a bad thing if you like to eat fish and shrimp...". Um... anyway...)

I've never played DCC myself, but have thoroughly enjoyed reading Raven Crowking's games on the forum. Looking forward to reading more!

Cheers,

Al

Yep that was probably me. I was in a Pbp 1e game jamabarn was running until real life stole all of my time away.

DCC is a lot of fun but it's brutally fun like old school D&D. Who do I send my request to if I want to start my own game?

You should make a post on the "Looking for Players or Games" thread and explain what game you want to run, specifics and how many players you need. Once you get enough Volunteers send a PM to the admin ToniXX asking for a game thread.

You should also sign in to the US Dice Roller and create your campaign there so players can associate their chararcters (or at least their names) with it and use dice macros.

Thank you all for your help. I have DM'd PbP before but i've always had major trouble getting people who don't suddenly disappear with no notice so none of them have made it very far.

I am relatively new to DCC myself but everything i've done so far has been major fun.

We seem to have the opposite problem here...

The GMs are the ones that disappear, more often than players.

Hail and well met, AQuebman!

It's great to see more of the good folks from DF coming over and joining up here! 8-)

Heh, I'm still in Jamabarn's PbP over at DF and he is an awesome DM to be sure! That has to be the fastest running PbP I've been in. I started off in Group 2 way back when and my Druid is now up to 6th level! We've done at least 5 of the old TSR AD&D modules and now heading to do C2 Ghost Tower of Inverness!

I too enjoy the DDCs. A lot of those were converted to 1st Edition and I've played and run a few. Good stuff to be sure!

Fireball... good!!

"Everything."

Yep. That is where I remember you from. I played a bit in Jamabarn's games as well. It is good to 'see' you here.

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

I took it as a snapshot on my phone from G+.

Let me see if I can get a better shot for you.

The last one made me snort my drink out my nose! I was looking it on my phone while eating lunch and almost died laughing!
