Re: Eddistone Point
Gorthak shorts looking a bit agitated "I used to be a MAN! I was turned to this half man half bull form against my wishes. I've come to deal with it and try to make the best of a bad situation. No I never crave to taste the flesh of a man." then the minotaur calms himself and says a quiet prayer before speaking to Gort "Gort I'm not leader. Seeker is. I am but the keeper of peace. Or I try to be. Yes let us not stand around. Onwards to Dragons Belch." he proclaims.

[Caiden Cross – Human Rouge 0] (HP: 10/10) (AC: 13)
Action: Getting close
Seeing Zirus tied up leaves a bad aftertaste in Caiden's mind but he speaks no words, he simply memorizes Zirus's requests and continues walking with his cloak hiding his face. He sees sad Gort moping around, he gives him a quick pat on the shoulder and whispers to him, "Showing pity would only make him feel worse, straighten up that frown and let's get him what he needs".

["Seeker" Jyrbian Talanador of the Bleeding Eye - Lvl 0] (HP:10/10) (AC:11)
Action: Hahahahah, Onwards!
Jyrbian lets out a short laugh, "It would seem that the resident bovine knight apprentice has some sense after all. Yes, let us be off. Zirus may be a creature hungering for the flesh of the far majority of residents in this city but he is still a cleric, a devout follower to some silly devouring entity. He is no novice when it comes to personal and spiritual entrapment, he shall be fine whilst we receive our payments and find out a remedy for what ails his mind, there is no need to molly coddle him." He looks to Delea, "Elf woman, let us be off."

Re: Eddistone Point
Summary
Home at last!
Zirus submits to Delea’s suggestion and is bound carefully for his and everyone else’s good. Some are not so keen on the idea and continue their march to Dragons Belch with troubled minds and posture.
Caiden attempts to bolster Gort’s spirit. While Gorthak, Delea, and Seeker discuss the current station of leadership in the party.
Delea, looking grim and forlorn, continues the final march into Dragons Belch. The rain comes down in waves and sheets as the party trudges up to the main gate, now closed and dark. Delea calls a halt a short distance away and saunters up alone.
The 2' tall bronze dragon oil lamps on either side of the entrance flare with a brilliant green flame, bathing a 20’ area in dappled green light.
Attached in the center of each massive steel banded doublewide wooden door are two 2' long bronze dragon statuettes.
As Delea approaches the bronze dragons drop to the ground and flank her, each with a tiny green flame trickling from its mouth. Delea says something to the two dragons and they return to their places on the doors. She returns to the wagon and the doors begin to open of their own accord. She guides the party though the gate and they pass two sodden guards, just inside the entrance, wielding shortspears. She leads the group through a winding maze of streets, alleys, and main thoroughfares, lined primarily with dirt, now a reddish mud, lined with cobble long ago. You eventually arrive at the Netheril’s tower built of massive grey stone blocks. Lightning blasts the sky with strobes of brilliant light and thunder crashes down among the buildings. Two hideous stone gargoyles block the front of an immense steel-barred door preventing further passage; one holds a massive steel broadsword, the other a thick spear.
Delea looks puny in the shadow of the two massive gargoyles. The two hideous looking beasts block the door without word or sign of life. A smaller Gargoyle, not so hideous looking, and nearly the same size of Delea, appears out of thin air and says, in a childlike voice, “Delea, we were so worried of your affairs. You have guests, let me give them respite from this night. Netheril will see you.”
Delea turns to the group, and pointing at the little Gargoyle says, “He will take you to a dry place. I will send Gunther to get you in the morning. Zirus, my friend, your suffering will soon be over. Please have faith. I will come for you shortly.” She turns and says a word to the massive Gargoyles. They open the door and close it behind her.
The small Gargoyle shows the party to a building nearby. It looks abandoned, decrepit, and ill fit to live in. There are large holes in the upper floors, many of the windows are boarded up haphazardly. The little Gargoyle says, “Welcome to Dragons Belch. It is my honor to serve you. My name is Babak.” He points to the building and says, “This will be your home when you are here in Dragons Belch. You may come and go as you please but only with these,” he hands each person a small silver coin, 2” in diameter, with the head of a dragon in base relief on one side and a tail on the other. “Keep them on your person. Only you and your person, as long as you possess this token, may pass through these doors. Please take a room.” Babak turns and walks through the barred and decrepit looking massive double doors at the front of the building as if they are an illusion.
The party is left standing in the torrential downpour staring at each other in surprise.

Action: Large and in charge.... kind of.
Jyrbian pockets the coin after looking it over for a moment, "Well, let us see what kind of accommodations this wizard has made for us yes? Come along, everyone." He then begins striding towards the doors, looking nonplussed at the possible illusion and attempts to enter right through them as the gargoyle did.

Gorthak takes the coin and tucks it under his armor and walks into the shabby looking place half expecting magic at work to make the place look so run down. He motions for Gort to follow. "Come my friend Gort. We shall find rooms. Perhaps we can play that odd game you are so fond of."

Gort - Savage
Gort pockets the coin and stares dumbfounded at the small gargoyle, but is prodded into action by Gorthak's words. "Uhhh, yah. Let's go inside. Gort tired of rain. Gort not like big cities much, but sleep out of rain is good. Gort follow you, Gorthak. You tell where to sleep."
Gort follows Gorthak, spear close by. He glances about nervously, and with noticeable paranoia. It's clear he is very uncomfortable here.

Caiden takes the coin and just for a split second wonders for how much will such a coin that is hard to come by sell for, but he remembers the one he would be angering with such an act and greed quickly dissipates.
He walks along Gorthak and Gort bowing humorously at the large gargoyles .

Actions: Takes Coin and Enters
Once freed, Zirus examines the coin which he has been given. He is invigorated by the rain and relieved that they have run into no human beings here. Allowing himself the simple pleasure of water on his skin for a moment, he moves forward, joining his fellows through the illusion in search of a place to spend the night.

Re: Eddistone Point
Summary
Home at last!
Seeker takes the initiative to follow the small Gargoyle through the illusionary wall, the others follow along shortly thereafter. The old rickety door gives no resistance as each member of the party, wagon and all, passes beyond its façade. On the other side the sounds of waves gently caressing a shoreline and the scent of ocean mist greet you. Your eyes adjust to the dim light and you find yourself standing on a wide dock extending out to a small island. Numerous bungalows can be seen perched in the center of the island, each with its own oil lamp. Numerous palm trees rise above the bungalows and tall grasses line the grey cobblestone path leading away from the dock. Looking back in the direction you came form is a black void, a circle of darkness blocking out the stars that dot the night sky all around. The dock simply disappears into the blackness of this void. The night air is warm and fresh. A giant brilliant moon hangs in the sky casting its radiant beauty upon each face below.
Babak waits until everyone has entered through the gate. “Welcome to your new home,” he says with glee. “You may choose any bungalow you like, provided it is empty. There are plenty to go around. Breakfast is served at eight am in the main hall. The main hall is the only other structure on the island that is not a bungalow. Gunther will address you there at ten am. It is stocked with plenty of fresh fruits and dried meats if you are hungry now. A servant is always there for your needs. You are safe here. Good evening.”
Babak leaves the party, returning through the black void at the ocean end of the dock.
A short time later Delea returns and escorts Zirus out of the area. (Sol, your next post will appear in the Campaign Asides thread. Please post there.)
You will each have your own bungalow which you are free to store your personal belongings you don’t wish to carry with you during adventures. Any item on your character sheet you wish to store here, simply show its location on the Inventory tab of your character sheet as “Home.”
I will update the Spoils of War thread here shortly and divvy up the coinage. My next post, here, sometime today, will be from Gunther. He will give you a number of options for your next adventure, and then we will start a new thread.
Baby Molerat can safely let out of his cage on the island, if Seeker so chooses. There is plenty for him to eat.

["Seeker" Jyrbian Talanador of the Bleeding Eye - Lvl 0] (HP:10/10) (AC:11)
Action: House Cleaning
Seeker walks towards the main island, picking the Bungalow furthest out from the grouping. After checking around the insides for a moment he comes out, grabs his things from the wagon, including his molerat, and heads towards the dwelling. Anyone near the bungalow can hear movement and noises coming from within for some time until just Seeker comes out, minus his belongings.
He then heads towards the main hall building and, after some choice words to whoever else is present in there with him, returns to his Bungalow with a basket full of fruit and vegetables. He will remain in there until 8am where he will awaken, feed his baby molerat, and then head towards the main hall and wait for the allotted 10am meeting, eating during the meeting or beforehand, whichever he deems necessary at the time.
gave a summarized posting of what he is doing, should anyone speak to him or work with him on anything, consider it just being done while he does these things. Also, I posted a listed account of our loot and cash in the OOC thread should anyone feel like commenting.

Re: Eddistone Point
Summary
A New Adventure Awaits
Ten a.m. rolls around and Gunther, Netheril’s 1st in charge arrives as predicted. “I am glad to see you have all made it back safe and sound, and it would appear as though you have picked up a few companions along the way. The more the merrier I always say.” Gunther drops a small bag on a nearby table and begins pulling small leather pouches and tossing them to each party member. “As promised, your final pay for Delea and her crew’s safe return. Netheril thanks you.”
Each pouch contains 10 gp.
“Delea has brought Netheril, and myself of course, up to speed on the affairs to the north. Netheril is certain there are dark days ahead, but confident that you will all meet any challenges that befall this city. Many of you may not know Dragons Belch was once a thriving port city, now ruled by the sloven self-appointed High Lord Lorcan “Brickfoot” Grimwood. Netheril is determined to bring this city back to its former glory, Brickfoot be damned! I will not bloody your ears with such foul words. My apologies”
Gunther bows slightly and continues…
“Netheril has been very busy while you were away. I have been sent to offer you safe domicile herein,” Gunther waves his hound in an arc around him. “This place is safe from all outside eyes, from all ill deeds and person. You are safe in this place from all. He only asks that you attend to his needs, his errands and tasks toward a better Dragons Belch. For this he will offer each of you permanent residence here and a weekly stipend of no less than 5 gp each.” Gunther gives his words a moment to set in then continues.
“For those of you who stay, Netheril has several errands that need immediate attention. As usual Netheril cares little for the material items you may cross in your task, do with them as you please. Only with his primary need is he concerned.” Once Gunther has given you the details (see below) he will leave you to discuss the option. "Discuss the options among yourselves. I will return in thirty minutes to receive your choice."
Your Three Option:
12 baby Tanystropeuses loose and terrorizing the sewers, climbing up into people's homes, causing a general row if you will. Retrieve all 12 baby dinosaurs alive if possible. (Dungeon-like Crawl)
A haunted mansion on the west side of Dragons Belch threatening to cause a riot if something isn’t done soon. Investigate and remedy as you see fit. (Inner-City Adventure)
Rumors of bandits assembling deep within Dragons Belch’s under city, posing a significant threat to opening the seaport for trade. Deal with the bandits and secure the port entrance for future trade. Netheril will post guards once the area has been cleared. (Dungeon Crawl)

["Seeker" Jyrbian Talanador of the Bleeding Eye - Lvl 0] (HP:10/10) (AC:11)
Action: Discussions and... discussions?
Seeker cuts off Gunthers escape with a hand on his shoulder, turning him and leading him a few steps with an audible, "You, I have words to speak with you." Once a few paces away he will begin conversing with the man in a low tone, his face turned away from the other group members.

[Caiden Cross – Human Rouge 0] (HP: 10/10) (AC: 13)
Action: Adventure awaits
Caiden ponders, "Tanystropeuses, Ghosts or bandits.........Sewers, A mansion, A port.....Adventure, Adventure, Adventure. I vote for the Mansion, they always promise a good loot, and it's an abandoned one at that, it should be interesting", he looks to the others for their opinions on the matter, he sees seeker talking to Gunther, so he looks at the rest.
