Seeker, Caiden, and Gorthak quickly deal with the Giant Cockroaches, much to Esilia’s relief.
Gort promenades through the tower in the buff, much to everyone’s displeasure, and makes his way to the spring to clean up. Seeker and Grognorks new cologne has permeated every cubic inch of space within the tower and the essence of it is palpable on every tongue.
As everyone settles in, Cullivan offers healing salve (2 hp each application, max 2 applications; I will leave this up to each player to manage) to anyone in need.
As things settle down and party members on the Lower Level begin to relax, a cacophony of night sounds begin to filter in from the floors above. Cricket calls, frogs, birds, owls, a whole orchestra of sounds, amplified by some unknown force, threatening to deafen and make mad everyone within the tower. The night sounds seem unusually loud and the creatures encountered on this dark night, unusually large.
Don't forget the party still has the two healing potions that Shaador gave you at Eddistone Point

Caiden offers to split the salve with Gort, "Seems you and me need it most my friend, here you go. Now, probably more is coming in, I will head to the turret roof to man the scorpion", Caiden heads to the roof and loads the scorpion.
I can't see Gorthak's health, if his health is lower than mine then I will give him my share

Gort - Savage 0 lv (HP: 10/10; AC 11)
Administers salve, heads up with Caiden
Gort, now the freshest and cleanest smelling savage in the land, gladly accepts the salve and applies both doses to his moderate wounds, exhaling a loud contented sigh as his pain is replaced by the warm feeling of healing. Once that's done, he quickly dons his super-scary hide armor and grabs his gear bag and dashes behind Caiden toward the top of the tower. He shouts toward Gorthak his plans: "Gort go wit Caiden to top, if baddies come dis way, we swat em' good!" Seeing Caiden moving rapidly he says "Wait for Gort, me come help you!"
Gorthak - Minotaur Knight Wannabe cleans the bug guts from his weapon. "Time to get out of this place. Morning can't come soon enough."

Action: Closing doors and opening windows.
Caiden notices that the door was opened as he leaves for the roof, he looks to Gort who was accompanying him, "Did you close the door when you and seeker came in?", he then turns to Cullivan, "Can you please close it, less monsters to deal with", he smiles happily through the red mosquito blood, "Let's go Gort, there are many monsters to be slayed", he continued to the roof.

["Seeker" Jyrbian Talanador of the Bleeding Eye - Lvl 0] (HP:10/10) (AC:11)
Action: shy? or secret cultist ritual?!?
Jyrbian waits for everyone to decide what they will be doing then speaks out, "Good then, I shall head towards the springs, now that the young savage has finished cleaning himself off. I will hopefully be able to rid myself of this disgusting odor... Let none of you disturb me whilst I am cleaning, I shall be gone for the remainder of this night most likely, meeting with you all come morning."
With that he begins to head down towards the spring to clean himself. He brings all of his equipment and weapons with him.

Gort - Savage 0 lv (HP: 10/10; AC 11)
Assume watch with Caiden upstairs
Gort follows Caiden upstairs and helps him with any prep for the night. "You tell Gort what to do, I do it. Anything come to us, we kill it GOOD!" Gort smiles and gives Caiden an assuring nod, then he starts to stake out a corner to sit and rest while on watch.
The rest of the night goes on without further incident. The night watches see a Giant Moth (6" long) or two and a Giant Owl (4' long), as well as various other large bugs scurrying around on the ground (Pill Bugs, Spiders, etc) all larger than normal. Seeker manages to clean the filth form his recent encounters in peace at the spring, but the stench of skunk remains.
The sun is well above the horizon by the time Delea and William emerge from their rooms.
[William Steadfast – Human Stonemason] (HP: 10/10) (AC: 9)
Actions:Frazzled
William emerges from his room frazzled with dark lines beneath his eyes, "What in the name of Oerth were all those giant bugs last night? I've never seen anything like them before."
[Delea the White – Magic User 4] (HP: 12/21) (AC: 10)
Action: Concerned
Delea emerges shortly after William. "Recent developments in the fauna of this area have me very disconcerted. We should leave at once and make for Dragons Belch with haste. Clyde, Alf, prepare the wagon, Cullivan, you and Shaador stand guard. We will leave within the half-hour."
Delea assists the others with the wagon and supplies as needed. The sounds of nature, as they throughout the night, seem amplified; louder than normal. Large Pill Bugs (6" long) scurry around in search of food, Giant Grasshoppers (6" long) hop form plant to plant and buzz, their wings batting the thick air with a loud buzz. Butterflies, moths, and bees seem to have grown overnight, spanning from 6" to 12" in length. Robins, Bluebirds, and Sparrows have grown to several feet in length, Crows and other large birds are now four to five feet in length. Most of the bugs and creatures don't seem to take any notice of the people though.
Before departure preparations have completed a shout is heard from Shaador, "We have company! Two walkers from the west road."
Two figures come into view along the road in the center of town. They are heading toward the tower. One appears to be Human with a jet black helm and jet and gold full plate armor. His chest plate is garnished with a great red dragon. The second man is also Human and decked in chainmail carrying a medium metal shield and a mace. William goes out to greet them, escorts them back to the tower, and introduces them to the party, "This (pointing at the man in black) is Gavin Moorehouse, Knight of the Sword, and his companion is Clement Freeman, a Cleric. They have come looking for me. I was scheduled to return to the Keep of Old yesterday but events prevented me from leaving before dark."
Gavin removes his helm and looks around at the group. "I see you have come back in one piece Delea." Gavin smiles and looks at Gorthak. "You have honored Netheril's task I see. Sir you are well on your way to Knighthood. It would be my honor to be your witness sir. You have proved yourself worthy." Gavin looks at the party, "Has everyone made the journey safely so far? If you have any wounded Clement and I would be happy to see to them."
Gavin moves up to Delea and places a gentle hand on her shoulder, "There are dark days ahead of us I fear, my lady. I have tracked the wizard and his cleric to the Keep of Old and to the Western Passage. I traveled no further for fear of loosing myself. The passage has been blocked and is watched night and day. If they choose to return to these lands they will need to travel north, a long journey. Though I believe they have no intention of coming back this way. Certain signs lead me to believe this place was a testing ground for future plans. The Groo may still pass to this place though I fear. I was unable to find their portal. We have not seen them for some time. Glad, am I, of this. The land has continually morphed and warped since our last encounter with them. They wield a magic I have never seen before. Netheril turned pale at it's mention. He is formulating a plan as we speak, though it may be some time before we can act. Make haste for Dragons Belch my lady. I will take Clement, William, and Shaador, on your leave, to the Keep of Old and secure this side of the pass. We await further instructions from Netheril." Gavin bows deeply to Delea and sees if anyone needs assistance.

["Seeker" Jyrbian Talanador of the Bleeding Eye - Lvl 0] (HP:10/10) (AC:11)
Action: Greetings
Jyrbian listens to the introductions given by William, "You are a Knight of the Sword? Interesting, I must have been elsewhere for that introduction. I remember the last man I spoke to that claimed knighthood, crazy fool kept going on about how the gods had blessed him and his blade, and how he would create knightly orders, some nonsense about crowns and roses or something." Jyrbian chuckles lightly, "The fool Vinas carried a silver sword, said it was blessed by the gods, can you imagine that? Hah!" He waves the others off dismissively as he delves into nostalgia, his head shaking lightly. He then heads towards the area that he was keeping his molerat, feeding it some vegetables from the tower stock. He makes sure to bring enough of the stock to comfortably feed the animal for the trip to Dragons Belch.

Prepare to depart
Gort stands by gazing at the newcomers with unmasked curiosity. He then turns to stare at Seeker as he talks. He glances quickly at Gorthak and Caiden and says "He using big words again. Gort no understand. He much smarter than me." Gort listens intently, wondering what Seeker speaks of.
Once he realizes that Zirus has been healed, he'll go over to assist him to his feet and offer a shoulder if needed. "Gort thought you dead. Me glad to see you back okay wit us."
Gorthak smiles at the sight of Gavin and beams with pride even more so when he hears the compliments "It does me well to see a man of strength and to hear your honored words Gavin. Alas Zirus our once lost now refound cleric is ill due to some illness possibly from a gnoll bite." trying not to think of the nature he saw Zirus in his attempts to eat their companions. Looking sullen as he speaks of Zirus's illness as of late.

Action: My fellow knights
Caiden didn't care much for knights, he found them a little arrogant and overestimated, but once he heard that Gorthak is joining he was quite surprised. He didn't fit his idea of a knight.
Once they started about earth warping magic and dangerous mages, Caiden started to shake out of fear, as if an earthquake has just erupted. He quickly punched himself right in the stomach to stop it, and surprisingly it worked then he proceeded to act as if nothing had happened.
He smiles to Gort, "Oh, they talk about dangerous magic, knights, and blessed swords. Gorthak is going to be a knight, seeker doesn't believe in gods....or maybe he is one,,,,,,and bad mages are hiding somewhere. Oh, and we work for someone called Netheril apparently"
“Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody.” ― J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye
Zirus moans as he lolls his head from side to side. His eyes appear milky, but he seems to recognize his friends, who are tending to him. He parts cracked lips and says, "Water..."
Zirus's Con Check (with the +6 this is actually 20) [3d6] = 14
Cullivan, Gavin, and Clement combine their skills to release Zirus from his blood poison feverish nightmare inducing fitful slumber. Gavin frowns at the painful visage of Zirus and kneels down to comfort him, “The visage of death in your expression touches my heart. It troubles me to see others in pain. Cullivan, Please begin, we will follow.”
Cullivan kneels down to Zirus and rubs a generous amount of healing salve into Zirus’ wounds, speaking softly in calm voice, “May the earth mother be your guide back to the light, may the father sun warm your spirit and give you strength to fight your tormentor.”
Gavin places a hand on Zirus’ forehead, asks Clement to hive Zirus health, and begins a silent prayer. A pained smile crosses Clement’s face as he begins to speak, “Death, I have seen its ugly face. Torn, scarred, black as coal, and cold as the darkest pit it was. It’s touch, colder than the highest mountain, chilled my soul and nearing death I saw the light of Mishakal. I am her vengeance against those who hate. I am her hand, her will, her sword, her spite.” Clements voice begins to rise in tone and volume, “Your pain is my pain, your health is my health…” Clement places his hands on Zirus’ chest and they begin to glow with a blue hue that spreads and envelops Zirus’ entire body. “This world, my world, our world can not, will not, abide this evil bane! Your GRASP! is infirm, YOUR HATE IS DENIED!” Clement pauses momentarily and begins to mumble under his breath, “Concedat vobis salutem, et incididunt ut deam Mishakal.” Zirus, Gavin, Cullivan, and Clement become encased in an unbearable blue light, which fades as quickly as it appears. The three men assist Zirus to a sitting position.
Zirus blinks several times before realizing his health has been fully restored. As if today was his day of birth.
The three men smile at their work and Clement collapses to the floor. Gavin places a loving hand on Clement’s back and says, “Help me get him to a bed Cullivan. He will need rest.”
Gavin and Cullivan take Clement to Room 5 on the Upper Level and return to the group waiting at the wagon. Gavin addresses the group, “Cullivan, myself, Clement, and Shaador will remain here until Clement is safe to travel. Tomorrow we will make haste to the Keep of Old and maintain our watch until Netheril sends for us. This place is no longer safe for men. God’s speed to you all in your journey to Dragon’s Belch. Delea, please inform Netheril of these recent events, he will need to know the state of affairs if he has any hope of combating the evil infecting these lands.” Gavin waves and begins closing the door to the tower. Before it closes he calls out, “Keep the faith Gorthak! May honor always be with you.” The heavy steel-barred door closes with a heavy thud and the party is left standing in the tumultuous cadence of the ginormous insects of Hommlet buzzing, hopping, and shrieking about.
Delea wastes no time in addressing the group, “We leave now, while we still have the light on our side.” She slaps a donkey on the ass and the wagon heads down the south road out of town. Giant bees, 8” in length buzz through the air in search of pollen and sweet nectar, Giant Pill Bugs 8” long scurry across the road along with beetles and various other unidentifiable bugs of the same size. It doesn't take long for everyone to note that the bugs have been getting bigger.
Half a mile outside of Hommlet the party encounters a 5’ long Ground Hog standing in the middle of the road watching the party as it approaches. It scurries off into the tall prairie grass as the party gets within fifty yards. A 4’ long Sparrow chases a 12” long butterfly across the road.
Before the party makes it a full mile, a rustling of prairie grass, followed by a loud clicking sound, erupts from the grasses to either side of the road up ahead. Dealea calls a halt to the wagon just as two large Bull-Headed Ants emerge from the Prairie Grass and eyeball the party.

Gort sticks his spear out menacingly, and stands next to Seeker and says "GO AWAY, ANT! GORT STICK YOU IF YOU COME HERE!" And he starts a low, guttural growl, hunched into a striking pose. "RRRrrRrrrrRRRRRRR!"
He'll stay put, ready to attack the ants if they advance.
Gorthak does not attack the ants he like seeker and Gort merely watches and awaits to see what they do. "Best leave the ants alone less they decide to attack us."
