Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
Alanis yelps a bit as his mental connection to the whip wielding creature gets severed by two arrows. He shakes his head and points his rod again at the nearest orc, screaming something that may be a mix of magic language and possibly hysterical gibberish.
Alanis Rod of Wonder: [1d100] = 43
37-46 Lightning bolt (70 ft. long, 5 ft. wide), 6d6 damage (Reflex DC 15 half).
Rod Lightning Bolt: [6d6] = 23

Neev winds up another sling bullet and fires it at the same target only to watch it impact on the other side.
Sling Bullet: To hit [1d20] = 3 Damage [1d4+1] = 4+1 = 5
"I fear our opposition will not take me as any form of direct threat.

Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
Lubidius finds a rare moment to crack a grin at Neev. He slings his bow onto his back and draws his enchanted sword; and awaits the results of Alanis' magic before making his next move....

Theodore Mumfordian (Half Sylvanian Wood-Elf) Ranger lvl:5 HP 21/21 AC 5):
Again Theodore selects a target & lets fly 2 arrows:
To Hit Roll (+2 Strength Bonus): [1d20+2] = 12+2 = 14 , Elven Oath Bow Damage: [1d6] = 2

Thifli, Dwarf Fighter

Thifli hurls his axe at the near orog:
[1d20 +3] = 17+3 = 20 to hit [1d6 +3] = 6+3 = 9 dmg

Don't worry - price paid for having no internet! Wouldn't have made any difference anyway!

Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
Round 1:
initiative this time..PC Init [1d10] = 7 NPC Init [1d10] = 2 the enemy orcs and orog respond to the violence from the intruding orcs? They look a put puzzled why are fellow orcs and is that an odd ball elf with them? Attack their own.
Orc 1: turns to see what he thinks is his own kin. A Puzzled look as he charges into battle. Swinging his sword at someone in the front line missing.
Orog 1: a bit confused but doesn't care throws his spear and misses the spear sticks into the cave wall near Theodore.
Orog 2: closer to the entrance spears Thifli dealing 2dmg. sadly a crit roll with the lowest damage on the dmg roll
Orc 2: barks orders at the others trying to organize a defense.
Thifli kills orog 1 with his axe.
Theodore hits orc 2 as the orc barks orders out and lets out a wail of pain as both arrows hit the beast.
Neev fires off a sling bullet and it hits the floor.
Gandrel fires two more arrows one misses the other hits the orog for 4 dmg.
Lubidius watches to see what is his next best move.
Alanis with his wondrous wand of wonder lets loose a lightning bolt that kills Orc 1 & 2 as well as Orog 1 & 2.
Dune appears to hang back until the party can move inwards more.

Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
Alanis walks in, humming a cheery tune as the area now smells of burnt orc flesh. He looks around before speaking to his companions, "Well, that was fun! The Rat King will be pleased with us today!" He continues humming the cheery tune as the others take stock of what just happened and what is salvageable after the lightning burnt everything.

Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
I made another mistake but too late now that lightning bolt goes 10' that thing hits 2 more orcs but too bad so sad. they remain.
Alanis begins looting too soon as he starts on the closest dead orog 2 more orcs see the party and the dead orcs and orogs and start into action. Orc 3 barks orders towards the back of the cave and cracks his whip. The party now in the cave more can see why the battle is not yet over. As more orcs come forward and another orog and gasp an ogre comes forth.

Dune
Dune hangs back and will whack anyone who gets too close. I need to get some ranged weaponry someday, he mutters.

Re: Part 5: Caves, Slaves and Finer Things?
Alanis puffs his chest out, "More sacrifices for the Rat King!!" He casts complicated signs with his fingers and brings to life a ball of raging fire between the Ogre and the Orc next it.

Lubidius will snap out of it and move towards the closest Orog in melee range and swing with his enchanted sword….
Attack Roll: [1d20+2] = 17+2 = 19
Damage Roll: [1d8+2] = 7+2 = 9

Dune pulls his Wand of Magic Missiles from his robe. He says in orcish, Yes, my minions. Keep up the attack. I am the new master! These should all fall under my rule!and he fires his wand at the ogre!
