Metz smiled. "I am the father of the groom, so that makes sense. Roscoe?"

The trip back to your ship is short as Roscoe has taken advantage of the offer to move the Lost & Found to a bay attached to the owner's suite. Pax Imperii is in the bay next to her and the princess will excuse herself to go change and get what she needs. Fredrick and Terresa accompany her. Jessica gives you her comm code and says she will be ready to assist you at any time of the day or night, then excuses herself.

With the party back on the ship, Roscoe will see about fabricating what he and his bride will need overnight. He will also fabricate formal wear for himself and Doctor Metz. Somehow, he even manages to fabricate a wedding cake.

If anyone else needs something, just add it and it will be done before you depart.

Bilis will stand ready to assist Jaelah, as will Aster, once they have bride's maids' dresses. Whatever she needs, they will provide.

Roscoe will depart early with Doctor Metz via grav bike to prepare the location and avoid seeing his bride in her gown. The rest of you can go via air/raft or grav bike.

Grand Princess Ciencia shows up dressed in an extravagant royal suit with medals, cords, and all kinds of other stuff, including a sword. "I won't wear my gown and overshadow the bride," she said. "This is a reproduction of my father's formal uniform for State occasions, modified to suit my girlish figure. It'll have to do."

Fredrick and Terresa are in the formal red uniforms of the Imperial Guard with swords and gauss pistols. They gleam.

Ciencia will reluctantly take the air/raft while her escorts take grav bikes to ride herd around her and to test them out for when they inevitably have to let her ride one on her own.

Once everyone is ready, you all set off. The trip is about an hour and you arrive on scene to find that there is a storm in the distance, threatening to wash its rain over the area, but not here yet. Or perhaps at all, if the wind favors you.

Roscoe has selected an area on a large, flat stone that is like a platform overlooking the river and the wilds beyond. The wind is slightly gusting, and you can smell the rain. He stands there with Metz at this side, tall and handsome, watching the air/raft approach even as Terresa and Fredrick come in to land and await their liege. Once the air/raft is down, way is made to allow Jaelah to step down first.

Jaelah focused on her implant for a moment, and then she laughed. "Okay, that's quite the display for a male. I don't suppose you have any suggestions about what I should wear? I wore my police mess dress uniform for my first wedding." Her smile turned wistful. "Henri really liked me in it, so I indulged him."

Jaelah focused on her implant for a moment, and then she laughed. "Okay, that's quite the display for a male. I don't suppose you have any suggestions about what I should wear? She smiled. "Oh, I think we can come up with something suitable. Come to my ship and let's let my Lady-In-Waiting help us. You haven't met her yet, but Dame Adrianne will know exactly what to do."

Aster, Terresa, and Ciencia will take you to Pax Imperii and to the princess's personal quarters, which are substantially bigger than what she has aboard the Lost & Found. Dame Adrianne is a woman in her mid-thirties that is obviously younger to fit in with Ciencia but old enough to be a guide. She will greet you all and be told what is happening and be given Ciencia's instructions that she is to make this the very best gown she can for Jaelah given the time constraints.

Adrianne purses her lips and walks around Jaelah, examining her with an experienced eye. "I'll have to do a quick check, but I know we have a few things that would just dazzle with your coloration. I'll only have time to adjust one, but I shall not fail. Let's see which you prefer."

While she is gone, Ciencia and Aster try to come up with something suitable for the groom to find when he unwraps his bride, but nothing seems right until Terresa comes in with a selection of new undergarments in their packaging. "I've been saving these for Fredrick, but I can get more before we head out for Capital. It would honor me if you would accept them as a gift. Not the official wedding gift as I'll have to have more time to get something appropriate, but a little something from me."

They are all deliciously sexy and edge right up to teeter on the very naughty line. Roscoe might swallow his tongue.

Note: I don’t foresee weddings in the far future being limited to white and variants.

Adriane comes in a few minutes later with four gowns: one each in emerald green, sapphire blue, ruby red, and amethyst purple. They all get Jaelah's heart in her throat. All four are simply stunning and you know from past experience that those colors will utterly shine with your skin tone. "I have time to fit one, though the others could be fitted for other occasions. Which do you prefer?"

He lays out a hip flask, spare cologne and instinctively adds a single knife lying to himself that it might just be useful for cutting the cake.

His hair is back and his 'Knitting Needles'. He will have a hip flask, hankey, grooming kit, hand computer and a box for everyone involved in the wedding.

Under the jacket he'll carry his Fusion Pistol in his left shoulder holster, his Knife Fab in his right shoulder holster, and he'll have the grav dagger in an ankle holster. His Hypersonic G-Bike will carry a Solar Beam Rifle. "Be Prepared"!!
