Funhouse AD&D 1e Interest Check (Closed)
Is there any interest in a funhouse adventure, something along the lines of Ghost Tower of Inverness or White Plume Mountain (probably closer to WPM). It would be: a one shot, fairly short probably 12 to 18 months playing time depending on post rates, role-playing would be mostly character interaction and problem solving, somewhere between 250,000 and 350,000 starting xp depending on number of players 4 to 6. It could be fun to use pre-gen characters as that is kind of a staple of the funhouse but that would be negotiable, all or none depending on if players are interested.

So tempting.....
So, so tempting!
I don’t think I can, but I do think this one should get plenty of interest.

If I hadn't booked myself with the number of games I am in already I'd jump on this in a heartbeat. Seriously just ask anyone on here.
Good luck if you are hurting for players throw my name down. But for now just put me down as tentatively interested.

Re: Funhouse AD&D 1e Interest Check
FYI sometimes it takes a couple weeks to get people to notice LFP you could always sent out a PM to folks that "potentially" would join a 1e game. I find sometimes people that played in prior 1e games tend to join them worth a shot Black Wyvern. I can think of some that are in a game or two of mine that might take you up on it. Could always glace through people's profiles or intro posts as well.
Hmm not sure why this hasn't come up before but we list DM's on here maybe a quick list of active players and what they typically play in could be of help? Food for thought.

Re: Funhouse AD&D 1e Interest Check
That is interesting. I have tried to run Boot Hill over at Myth-Weavers a half dozen times and only get a handful of players and most usually drop within a week leaving one or two and re-recruitment was an impossibility. When I opened an ad over here I was very impressed that I had 9 players for a Boot Hill game within a couple days and most have stayed so far but I have been fairly underwhelmed with recruitment for the two D&D games I have tried here. This ad has over a hundred views, granted many of those are repeats and me but still that is a pretty high number for only two players to voice interest. So I am not entirely sure that lack of awareness is it.

Some is bad timing I think. Some of the more active individuals are in a lot of games right now. I am in 12, including your Boot Hill game and working on a game to DM as well. I know some people are also on other forums (I am on Roll20 too). Otherwise I would be interested.

Re: Funhouse AD&D 1e Interest Check
Summer is a notoriously slow time here on the Unseen Servant as well.
If you don't mind waiting a bit longer to recruit, I think things will perk up in another few weeks or so.

^ That is exactly true as well. What I'd do is leave this up for another couple of weeks.OGRE MAGE wrote:Summer is a notoriously slow time here on the Unseen Servant as well.

I too can say similar. I'm running 4 games on here and playing in about 7-9 others on this site alone. I have one game on dragonlance forums that I play in, as well as one game on roll20 that runs once a week. I'm not saying I'm full up on games certainly getting close though. Tell you what rather than me being tentative, Sign me on Black Wyvern.Rex wrote:Some is bad timing I think. Some of the more active individuals are in a lot of games right now. I don't wanna put you over the top Wolf. I can wait. Summer is slow everywhere. I still have to write the adventure anyway.

I'm more than happy to join the game I am interested after all. I was just trying to give other folks the opportunity to play

Awesome! Three!
Re: Funhouse AD&D 1e Interest Check
In the last 2 weeks I have noticed that postings have slowed. It is the "Unseen Servant Summer Slump". Come October it will pick up.

Sorry! I've re-evaluated, and I don't think I can join in this game after all. Have fun tho!

Well there is a loss and a gain. We are still at three. The next couple of weeks are looking pretty tight for me so I will probably just keep track of how things are going and shoot to start this in mid August.

Re: Funhouse AD&D 1e Interest Check
Sounds like fun, I'm in.
I've had a bit of a layoff from online games, so not booked with others right now, and looking to get back involved.
