Evaluations

#1 Post by rredmond »

Hey all, it looks like most folks have finished their face-to-face playtests, and though we're making progress through the pass, we've got a bunch more to go. PaceSetter knew this is the way I was testing the adventure and that we wouldn't finish before they needed evaluations. I'm going to continue to press ahead, but the publisher is looking for the evals. Below is the format, I cut out anything that might give away the rest of the adventure. I'm not sure how playtesters will get recognized in the module, but if you like you can PM or email me the form with your name on it how you wouldn't mind it appearing; I'm assuming it'll end up on a list at the beginning of the module. Let me know if there are any questions or anything. Thanks!

Player Evaluation Sheet
Module: B1 Legacy of the Unknown
Player Name:

DM Name: Ron R.

Character Name:
Level/Class:
Survived: Yes No
Notes:

Please list your favorite or least favorite encounters.
Each encounter requires a general rating of each encounter or encounter section as described. Please rate the
encounter on a four point scale: 1 = Excellent, 2 = Very Good, 3 = Average, 4 = Poor
Each encounter has several portions that require rating such as Monster Combat Value, Treasure, Innovation, Fun.
Monster Combat Value: This measures the combat value of the monster related to the strength of the PCs. An excellent
rating indicates the monster was very challenging or possibly too powerful for the PCs as opposed to a Poor rating which
would indicate the encounter was way too easy.
Treasure: Is the treasure balanced for the encounter. Alternatively, sometimes treasure is designed with the overall
adventure. Does the treasure work for the level of the adventure? Excellent indicates the treasure level works well as
opposed to Poor which indicates the treasure is too paltry or overpowered. You may want to expand your answer in the
notes section.
Innovation: Was the encounter memorable (Excellent) or bland and boring (Poor)?
Fun: Was the encounter fun. When it comes down to a good adventure, players and the DM have to have some fun.
Some encounters may be fun for the DM but not the players and vice versa.

Section 1: Overall Impression of Module
General Notes:

Section 2: Select Encounter Evaluation

Encounter with the Elves:
Monster Combat Value: 1 2 3 4
Treasure: 1 2 3 4
Innovation: 1 2 3 4
Fun: 1 2 3 4
Notes:

Encounter with the Giant:
Monster Combat Value: 1 2 3 4
Treasure: 1 2 3 4
Innovation: 1 2 3 4
Fun: 1 2 3 4
Notes:
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.
