Lacking any missile weapons, Darius will hang back, with the intention of finishing off any wounded creatures with his spear once they have been grounded.

Into the treeline, just past his companions, to where he left his spear. With luck the flyers will continue the pursuit into the area beneath the canopy.

It's really hard to get a feel for the rate of travel going from the map, but I think that they are about close enough now, so...

Now that the creatures are close, Darius turns and runs for the treeline, where his companions and his spear await.

Darius stands his ground, waiting.

How fast are they going compared to how fast Darius can run?
His goal is to time it so that he can get back to the treeline just before they reach him.

Darius will begin looking around for some sort of weapon on the ground, in an attempt to not look as if he is just waiting around to be attacked.

Once again, Darius will wait. Once the enemy has closed half the remaining distance, he will sprint back to the woods as if three batwinged monsters were following him.

Darius will stick to the plan until something happens to change that. The plan is to see how fast the enemy can fly, and when they look to be committed to flying in and have started to close the distance, to run for the treeline, leading them into an ambush.

Darius stops and stands, looking straight at the creatures, feigning being frozen in fear. He will not turn to run until they move in his direction.

I'm confused. Is Kenelm's plan to rush across the field and try to close the distance to the enemy, or for all of us to rush a short distance from the treeline and hope they come in? I think I've laid out a solid plan, but it is dependent on the person without missile weapons (Darius) acting as bait...
