Re: Paladin - Have Gun, Will Travel
Paladin entered the front coach to find Tiny rushing forward, apparently looking for him. Seeing Paladin, and that he's unwounded, he nods. The train at last slides to a sliding stop. Twelve yards before it, the bodies of the two prostrate men lie not far from the tracks. One is flat cold dead. The ...

Re: Chapter IV - Comancheria (Charlie & Ezekiel)
The scouts see six horsemen top a rise to the north, the same time they top one on their east northeast ride to the road and the settlers' wagons. The riders stop their walking horse and quietly observe, at around 400 yards. The scouts, experienced with the dress and habits of the various tribes, kn...

Re: Chapter 4: Strange Pursuit
The riders pass the Bland place at around 1:30 in the afternoon, stop, and turn southwest. The area remains hilly, but with fewer limestone outcroppings, and grassland between the dotted trees and bushes. They expect the Vitek place to be about a mile away. A half hour's ride, in this hilly country....

Jinsei, realizing the dog hadn’t detected them, yet Fuma was stepping east instead of joining him under the floor , per the plan, chirped a cricket sound and wildly waved his arm for his fellow ninja to stop. He signed quickly - let dog come to us! movement is risk! two blowguns better then one! wa...

Luke Goodfox sees the bigger force of marines unloading from the truck, and the big weapon they're carrying. Something to worry about, but at 300 yards the range was too far, would be a risky shot. He aimed his M1 Garand at the closer marines shooting at the airman.

Based on his Speed score, Fuma walks 7 yds per 6-second Detailed Turn. So he closed to 33 yds, undetected by the dog (or anyone else). Out of blowgun range, so we'll disregard that roll.

Saul rushes to the side of the tank, zigzagged to try not to get made into mincemeat. He grabs above the tread and with a mighty strain, tries to turn it onto its side.

Jinsei quietly goes over the wall, crosses the short way to the mansion's outer wall, and takes position under the master bedroom's floor. Minoru follows right after, crosses, and uses is climbing pole to ascend onto the mansion's roof. They see the dog trot past the round the corner of walls to the...

Re: Chapter IV - Comancheria (Charlie & Ezekiel)
Sorry for the delay posting. I'll try to speed things up going forward. The scouts recall that the wagon master said that the train would move as quickly as it could to water for the livestock, then circle the wagons and wait for the Army. To get Charlie's horse Pict back, they'll need to go to the...

Re: Paladin - Have Gun, Will Travel
At Long range, the wound location can't be moved. Regarding need a make a Strength check to stay on a horse after getting hit, we'll again stay with the RAW. I don't see a rule for that, so we'll go with when Strength reaches 0, the unconscious rider falls off the horse. After the latest hit Turn 1...

Re: House Rules
Sniping The sniping rules are a little unclear and confusing. The sniping modifier applies only if the shooter's weapon is resting on a solid support: a rock or window ledge, for example, or even across the saddle of a standing horse. This bonus only applies to the first shot, however. If that shot...

Re: Paladin - Have Gun, Will Travel
I considered that it hasn't turned into a "general gunfight" here yet too. Here are some thoughts about what the rule may intend. a) The first shot is sniping because it's unexpected and coming from an unseen shooter. If that's the case, then the other shots wouldn't be sniping, because t...
