Fydmar
Fydmar responds to Wrathbone with "I agree with Wrathbone". If possible he will switch back to magic X-bow & loose another shaft as the group backpedals.
As needed: x-bow [1d20+3]=4+3=7, damage [2d4]=6
Perhaps he rushes the shot.

Looses a (standard) X-bow bolt. x-bow [1d20+3]=14+3=17, damage [2d4]=5
Melee attack (dual wield): Greybeard's axe main hand [1d20]=3, damage [1d6]=3
short sword attack off hand[1d20-2]=2-2=0, damage vs S M [1d6]=5
He was somewhat reluctant apparently

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik
Fydmar (quietly) I don't like that dagger. It just smells fishy being out in the open, yet none of the denizens here want it. Cursed, I'd say. I think we should deal with those in the room. They will be trouble sooner or later, so lets do it on our terms. We don't know if there are other doors in th...

Wrathbone, we might need to burn some of those webs to see the rear alcoves. Will assist while keeping watch for spiders.
Check behind the doors southernmost passage as we proceed west? Then the middle diagonal?

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik
Fydmar He is stunned for a moment over what transpired. My friends, I did NOT expect that to happen. Perhaps it is best that this lantern be destroyed - gives it to Wrathbone. (had no problem with your action actually) . After a moment of silence to mourn the passing of a companion... Yngvar's last ...

I'm 11 & 6, so not good either.
Can we tell what the baubles are made of? Any runes or letters on them?

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik
Fydmar Gives Wrathbone a nod, glad to see he is back to full fitness. Despite the invite, he has no intention of touching the obelisk. Is everyone else in relatively good shape? If so, perhaps we should continue a little further before returning. Would hate to be one room away... That's his vote, bu...

After helping Wrathbonee search the coffer. I agree Durgo. We can't let ourselves be whittled down like sticks. What are the omens Brother? Other thoughts cousins & friends?
Search rolls if needed: Dwarf stonework check [1d100]=20
secret doors [1d6]=4

Will mutter his prayer to Moridin & hurl the axe. Can't let this fiend escape to hound us again.
Throw Greybeards axe with Moridin prayer [1d20+5]=9+5=14; damage [1d6]=6 oh well.
Don't remember an easter egg. Did I miss something?

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik
Fydmar Help, he's got Wrathbone! Not wanting to possibly hit his friend if he hurls the axe, he sticks with dual wielding against the undead fiend, hoping he can get its attention away from finishing off Wrathbone. Come on ya fiend! Try me, I'm tastier! Attacks w/sword & axe Greybeard's axe main...

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik
Fydmar If there is a flask of oil in the adventuring supplies of the priest, he will take one. Then he'll examine the iron statue to see if it is mechanical in any way or if it seems as it if would move or pivot. Hmm, dents and chips: vandalism, or was it moving or working or fighting in the past......

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik
Fydmar Will keep his eye on Genaromes as he checks out the obelisk, just in case something unfortunate & unexpected occurs. How about we check the first room off the far southern hallway next and see if there seems to be space for another room in the in between area? That would give us some good...

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik
Fydmar Durgo, I take what you mean is there must be another room, likely attaching to this one and the corridor on the other side? Or was it something else? Do we go further "west" or try the diagonal? I don't much like the look of this room myself. Perhaps the mage can figure something . ...
