Re: [OOC] Into the Unknown

@Vek: don't have a map available (I'm not lifting the castlet from some long-forgotten module or anything), but I can certainly sketch one out and upload it, however. Give me a little bit to get that done; I'll be pretty busy shoveling today. Probably post it sometime this evening.

Re: [IC] Into the Unknown

Bandit Prisoner

"Quite true, sir. Soon enough most of the band would have been out raiding away to the northwest, had the noble not been kidnapped. I would estimate that there is no more than a week's worth of food at the castlet."

Re: [OOC] Into the Unknown

Stopped falling in your neck of the woods yet? I can still see some flakes illuminated in the street lights, but I'm pretty sure it's just snow being blown off of roofs and evergreen trees, rather than snow actually still falling from the sky.

Re: [OOC] Into the Unknown

Not quite as much snow as they were calling for where I live. Maybe only 16" to 18" right now? It's still snowing a little. Also hard to accurately gauge how much snow has fallen because the wind has been moving the snow around a good bit. During the night, the snow was mixed with sleet*, ...

Re: [IC] Into the Unknown

Alfius the Aeviternal, Fighter Alfius examines the map as it is drawn, gently asking questions about the castlet's defenses and how one might sneak in and out without alerting the sentries or the bandit chief. Re: [OOC] Into the Unknown

Stay safe. Thanks! I should be fine, and just inconvenienced if the storm's bad. I'm fortunate in that I don't have to drive to work. (Note to all: I get really hyper about snow and shoveling. Please (seriously) tell me to stfu if I become annoying. I think MonsterMash may remember gaming with me d...

Re: [OOC] Into the Unknown

So, the party defeated ten 1 HD opponents and one 2 HD opponent. Total XP = 120. None of the opponents qualify for a special ability/-ies bonus. That's three PCs getting two half-shares each and one NPC (Tacitus, currently not a PC) getting one half-share. 120/7 rounds to 17. 17+17=34. 34 x 1.05 = 3...

Re: [OOC] Into the Unknown

Okay, more weather talk from me: a major storm is supposed to hit the East Coast of the U.S. affecting basically North Carolina to Maine. They're still arguing about exactly *how much* snow, but it's at a 100% chance of falling. There's been some talk of wet snow and high winds, so I may well lose p...

Re: [OOC] Into the Unknown

Do I have the right of it, BTW, in assuming that the Lord of Law would be rather harsh towards brigands? There would definitely be room for a lot of personal interpretation; one could find doctrinal and scriptural justification for either a merciful, rehabilitative approach or a swift, hang-'em-hig...

Re: [OOC] Into the Unknown

Okay, so I can proceed, y'all are executing two of the prisoners and keeping the one who promised to help? This is the impression I was under, but I didn't want to move ahead in case y'all were bluffing or something. If you guys are indeed executing the two dudes, someone can just post that it's hap...

Re: [OOC] Into the Unknown

Todd, not trying to be annoying here, honest: "Cadmus makes a show of healing Alfius and Decimus." Is he CLWing, or miming CLWing (to impress the bandits?) and saving the actual spells until later? Just want to make sure I don't roll dice until I know for sure. Yes, CLW. Cool, thanks. Bea...
