Re: Chapter 1: The mystery of Odlo Hillhouse

The party goes further into the giant chamber. GM rolls dice Near the back of the room, large boulders appear to have fallen from the ceiling and now rest in a pile of rubble. Amidst the fallen stones, you spot a wooden chest with copper hinges. As our adventurers approach the block of ice, the figu...

Re: At the Covenant - Secondary Focus

I am very poor at picking up hints :)

No worries. Should I wait for the other adventure to resolve or move forward with the next season?

Re: At the Covenant - Secondary Focus

As the weeks drag on, Bran at times regrets this choice of a tome. He's used to complicated texts, but the depth bewilders him and tries his patience. No wonder Salvatus was going mad as a box of frogs he thought to himself. Thinking back to the hippogriff, Bran ponders the text with the fang on the...

Re: At the Covenant - Secondary Focus

"Not yet. The tome is written in dense language, so it will take time to untie the various threads. Let us discuss this when you return from your travels...I hope to have made progress by then." Bran will spend the summer looking through Salvatus' notebook(s), starting with the one with t...

Re: OOC 1

Yes, that's one way to do it. For rolls you will make frequently, you can also click on the 'create new macro' link next to the character's name. This will save the die roll parameters for future use and you'll just need to click on the die to roll. Either way is fine, as long as the roll is connect...

"Julie. Your name is fitting. Only a single letter away from jolie ." 'jolie' is french for 'pretty.' Gertrude smiles at the cook. "Now Julie, I am going to ask you a question. But first, I want to assure you I do not believe you acted improperly. You should be able to assume that a ...

Re: Chapter 2: The Woes of Reuna

Our adventurers continue the battle against the two kobolds and single wolf. They seem determined to fight to the death. Seth lets loose his sling, but misses the leader standing tens of feet away! Sonja's adrenaline takes over as she swings at the nearest kobold. Her beggar's stick whooshes as she ...

Re: Chapter 2b - The Cranberry Bog

Booth and Monty have longer legs than their pursuers, and begin to easily outpace them. Monty begins to worry as the sooty air irritates his lungs, but after a few spells of coughing he's able to retain his running pace. Within a minute they have lost the two kobolds and the purple-eyed chicken, pic...

Re: Chapter 1: The mystery of Odlo Hillhouse

Is this room very chilly and freezing that the ice doesn't melt? Are the torches seemingly ever lit? He things one might contradict the other. The room is cool, as most subterranean areas are. But it's certainly above freezing. There is no obvious sign of the ice melting (e.g. water on the floor) t...

Re: OOC Chat

OK, understood. I thought it might not be that easy! I assume Bran will know that Arduin is out looking for other books, so he will spend the summer studying to see what he returns with. Inspired by the magicians around him, he will study The Arcane Initiate over the summer, hoping to raise his abil...

Re: Chapter 1: The mystery of Odlo Hillhouse

GM rolls dice. Several in the party inspect the teeth and mouth of the stone carving around the entry to the next room. They poke, prod, and examine. No moving parts are evident. Cotgric and Bilberta are certain this too was the work of dwarves, perhaps the very ones that became the skeletons they ...

Gertrude hesitates to ask, but feels she must. "Hubert, I have an indelicate question for you, but I ask only because it is necessary to get to the truth of the matter. Are you positive the shrieks came from the cottage after the cook left? I understand you wish to protect the innocent cook's r...
