Re: The Adventure begins
Noon - Day one The Bakery You do, I am the Owner of this shop, had it since I was married. How can I help you. Actually I'm to help you, ma'am. Your brother-in-law tells me that your daughter Holly has disappeared, and he's sent me here to help you find her. Could you tell me where and when you las...

Re: The Adventure begins
Noon - Day one The Bakery Othmar walks into the bakery, with the smell fresh bread in the small store. The bread is already well sold down at this time of day, though you see in the back a woman fussing with a girl at a oven. Seeing you she wipes the flower off her fingers on her apron and heads to...

Re: The Adventure begins
Well and good, the mustached mercenary agrees with a slightly lowered eyebrow; he assumes that Patrus is too concerned with his sanctity to flirt with an employed widow, but he is a bit surprised at the other two. I don't imagine I'll be long. Keep an eye out - news travels fast in a small town and...

Re: The Adventure begins
So, what's our approach? Othmar addresses the rest of the party once they are away from the dockmaster. People may get upset if we march into the bakery like an army. Might be better to send one person.

Othmar, I'm with them as well, the fighter answers as he shoulders his backpack.

Re: To the DMs-How long does it take to resolve a combat rou
I've been advised that, in PBP, you dispense with initiative and just assume that the PCs have initiative unless they're surprised. This eliminates some of the wait for player response.

Re: Alignment, how do you interpret it?
Ok next question... Can a chaotic character, being anti-authoritarian , be dedicated to something bigger than himself ? For example, a religion or deity. When I first pondered this I wondered why all clerics were not lawful. Chaotic people reject authority's control over the individual, so how can ...

Sweet! But where are our old friends the LORICA HAMATA and the adorably inadequate MIRROR PLATE? (I admit, in such a categorical post I might have missed them somewhere.)

Fair enough, we should start as soon as possible. Othmar finishes his wine and stands.

Re: Is it feasible to run an evil alignment campaign?
Villlains By Necessity might be helpful in this case ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
Technically in this situation the "evil" characters were trying to save the world for self-centred reasons (i.e. not wanting to die) so it's a bit sketchy, but it's worthwhile reading anyway.

Re: The Wheel of Time Books
I started book 6 and realized about 50 pages in that I didn't recognize anything they were talking about and I was completely lost. I let it go after that; it might have just been a bad day but I'd kind of lost my sympathy for all of the characters by then. That's just me though :) I'm glad for ever...

Re: D&D - magic by point system
Basically a 1st-level spell cost 1 point, 2nd-level cost 2 and so on. Similarly your spell allowance was translated into points. Thus, if you were a 5th level mage you had 3*lvl1 + 2*lvl2 + 1*lvl3 = (3+4+3) = 11 points. Spells (that you knew) could be cast spontaneously from the pool. Hence, the ma...

Re: The Adventure begins
"I'm glad to join such a worthy cause as well. Your interest in your family's welfare is commendable sir," Othmar says through his heavy mustache as he looks at the locket and reads the letter. "How long ago was this painted?"

D&D - magic by point system
For a while as a houserule I played D&D2E using a simple point system. Spell...

Re: Ask the GM
Do I need to worry about a character description? Or are we just going to be running for our lives and PC hair and eye colour will not be an issue?

Hi! Haven't played Labyrinth Lord but I've read through the rules a bit; I've played similar games before and it doesn't look too complicated. I'll join if there's room!
