There was a really excellent 1e (converted by Jon “tacojohn” Hershberger of Black Blade Publishing) version of the 3.5e Saga of the Rat King. That was really fun IIRC. I’ll have to give it a read again. The author is the same so I bet they are tied together.

Any of those Con or Competition modules always work well for PbP as there is a defined goal and they aren't too long. Dungeon Crawls work for PbP due to the exact opposite reason!
